oh right now the battle I'm fighting is my baby crawling away trying to get a diaper on her. She hates diaper time!

LOL...I don't but my brother did. He has twins and when they were that age they got the bright idea to have diaper wars when they woke up. After a couple of times of cleaning up the huge mess, my brother started using the duct tape when they went to bed at night.

I have never done this and I have not known anyone who does this. But I have always figured what ever works. If this solves the problem than go for it. There is nothing wrong with using duct tape for that.

How funny! I have never heard of this before. You may be the only one. But what a unique story to tell when he gets older. My daughter yelled no diapey when she was that age. She kicked my mouth and loosened my top teeth. She was in potty pants from that time on. My teeth tightened up and she is ready for kindergarten. Duct tape,I'll remember that one.

Funny. I have heard of duct tape being used if the flaps broke off. We didn't really have that problem and at 1 1/2 ours started potty training and pull-ups.

I can't say I've ever done that before, ecause I don't have a baby, and I don't ever plan to have one either, but I will say that that sounds like a really good way to keep young children from removing their diapers. Good thinking!

I've taped nappies together too, but only when we've managed to bust the fastenings somehow. I actually bought a big packet once which were faulty and had no sticky on one side. I got my money back on them, but they let me keep the nappies so I taped the whole pack.
I used cloth ones most of the time, and they're allot harder for the baby to remove. The poppers on ours are quite stiff, which suits me just fine!

I had to do it with my son too. The little booger would not keep a diaper on. He finally figured out that he could pick the diaper apart. I'd go in and find him with a belt made of plastic and duct tape.
The good news is he potty trained very early.
