Why do ghosts where clothes? - A puzzle to solve!

Often I hear people talk of seeing a ghost. When they describe the ghost it is often what the apperation are wearimg. But, how can a ghost wear clothes, when clothes don't die?

a ghost can be an impression from a moment in time.
many "ghosts" do not appear in human forms anyways.

But my point is that people describe ghosts as wearing certain apparel! Therefore, how can they when clothes don't die?
