Do you like to live in a higher or lower floor in a big building?

I like to live in a higher floor. As the lower floor will be moist in the rainy season. Besides, it is usually much more expensive for a higher floor apartment. It must have some reasons. And one of them perhaps you can have a nicer view to look out.

I prefer the lower floor because, around here, the upper floor means you have to climb a lot of steps and I'm lazy, I guess.

No way! You still have to go back and forth to the car when you buy groceries! Too many trips back and forth! LOL

I like live in a more lower floor. Maybe living in a higher floor is more attractive to the young people, because they can see a good scenery through the window. But for me, living in a high floor is not convenient, I need elevator to go upstair and downstair, that's the reason I don't like living in high floor.

I prefer the highest floor all the time. I find if we live in the lower floor, people living in the higher floor of the nearby building or building next to us could see us clearly through the windows. This means that we don’t have any privacy anymore. I don’t feel free and comfortable to live in the house with the windows always covered with curtains.

We currently live on the second floor of a 4 storey aparment building. I quite like it where we are even though we are looking at moving in the next month or so. I don't like to be too high up though.

Hi youless! Our house is just a one floor bungalow type house. I don't live in a building or a condominium unit. I know that those living in higher floors paid more than those living in the lower floors. However, if I have to live in a building I would prefer to be in the first floor. Although the view in higher floors are much more beautiful, I think I would still choose to be in the first floor. I have always this fear of fire and earthquakes and I always think that if I am in the first floor, I can easily escape from the building.
Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

I used to live on 15 floor. I have to say that view was great. I could see lake and sunrise at AM in one room and sunset at PM hours in other room.
One day elevator didn't work and I change my mind about high rise building.
I have my own house now and I love it.
I miss downtown ambiance, but I am very happy.

I have been living on the top floor of a three floor building and I love it. If I had my choice I would live on the top floor of a highrise.Give me the penthouse suite.

The apartment building where i live is only 4 storeys high... and my unit is located in the third floor... there is no high rise condominium units yet where i live... but if there... i will surely prefer to live not in the highest... but right in the middle... it is like having the best of both worlds in that aspect...

Hmmmm.... If you live in a higher floor you'll have the best view. In case of fire, you'll be the last one to get out. If you live in the lower floors you'll get out first. But in case of an earthquake and the building collapse....
good day

As much as possible, for safety reasons, I prefer lower floors on a building. :) I'm afraid of heights just a bit. I don't get scared when I look out at the scenery. But when I look down, things start to swirl. We just had a vacation last april where we stayed on the 11th floor of a hotel. Not that high but the view was really good. Then, the alarm came on. We went out calmly but it turned out to be a test. Not to be pessimistic, just careful. :)

I have a wonderful view from my apartment. I live in a big old house which has been converted into small apartments and I am in what was the attic. I have big modern dormer windows to look out of. From my windows I can look over the roofs of other houses, and I can for see several miles in all directions. I can't see the sea, which is only a short distance away, but I do get the fresh sea breezes coming in when I open the window.
I can watch beautiful sunsets in the evening and at night I often see the moon and the stars.
I feel safe being on the top floor. I leave the windows open at night, or when I go out, knowing no-one can get in. It is too high up for anyone to climb in, and they would be seen by people living nearby if they tried.
I would not like to live on any of the lower floors as I would hear people passing on the stairs all the time. Being at the top means no-one passes my door.

I tend to live in the higher floor. I just don't enjoy living in the lower floor, especially when considering the moist season. However, when the building is extremely high, say 40 something. I suppose I will live in the middle which is enough for me.

i think i'd go with the higher floors, so i'll have a nice view... but there's this person with me right now who wants me to put that she'd prefer the lower floor in case of earthquakes and fires...

I dislike to live in a higher or lower floor in a big buliding. If the bulidlngs haven't lift ,or even if it have a lift ,I feel tired for watting the lift. And recently , a big earthquake began in sichuan of china .So I be scared to live in high floors and look down from the top of a tall bulidings .
So I think two or floors are better for me .
