The human quality of communicating and acting truthfully related to truth as a velue. tjhis includes listening, and any action in the human repertorie - as well as speaking. superficially, honesty means simply starting facts and views as best one truly belives them to be. it includes both honesty to others, and to one self and about one's own motives and inner reality. honesty at times, has the ability to cause misfortune to the person who displays it.

True dat! The truth can be harsh and ugly and those who tell it are likely to offend quite a few people.
Telling the truth to yourself about yourself can be just as difficult. The misfortunes that this can cause are far out weighed by the fortunate. If you are honest with yourself you can not be surprised or tricked by what you are.
