Gray hair has nothing to do with wisdom or even old age for that matter. I've known people who were completely gray at the age of 30! My husband was completely gray by the time he was 40. I think it's genetic. I have hardly any gray hairs (I guess they'd be white since I'm blonde) and I'm 56. My mom was the same way. So, in my opinion, it's genetics that control our hair color.

When I mentioned gray hair in old age, I was implying that for mylotters. Not me... Sometimes people tend to think that it comes from old age or wisdom. So I just added that there just in case anyone here seemed to thought so...Get it right!!...

What I said was that I don't think it's old age or wisdom that gives anyone gray hair. Wasn't that your question?

I already had some gray hair since even when I was still in highschool. So that's not necessarily mean an old age. Now a got even more though LOL! Yes I do associated gray hair a sign of wisdom. (what more can I do, I have 'em LOL!)
read Proverbs 20:29 ;-)

Hehe, i think this is kinda a funny one. My mother went totally gray by the time she was 25. She dyed it until she hit her mid 40s to a light blond, just for some color. Me im in my early twenties and going gray as well. Its a very pretty silver color that is coming in. Although my hair is very dark so it dosent always look the best. Its what happens and its natural. Just comes down to genes.

I'm 54 and have a lot of gray. By 56, it'll (hopefully) be all gray! Lucky for me, it's more silver than gray and I've been told it's attractive. But 56 isn't too old to be gray and it's usually very nice looking.

I don't know, some people go gray early and some later on in life. I'm 52 and have some gray but not a lot. My husband is 60 and has enough hair for three people and maybe half of it is gray.

No I do not think so. People get gray hair at differant ages. I have known people that were completly grey at the age of 40.I for one like grey hair, I think it makes a person look sofistacted. i too am 56 years old and do not have one grey hair in my head, but I have always wanted it. I even frost my hair at times to give me the salt and pepper look.I think your hair is probally very beautiful, you should be proud of it, but if not, you can always dye it as so many others do..

I don't think it is at all. I think it gives someone charater. I know someone that was totally gray by 25, now that is too young to have gray hair.
And, you are only as old as you feel.
If you don't like it you could always dye it. I need to dye mine soon also, my kids are driving me gray and I am not even 40 yet!

My friend nelda had completely white hair by that age'and
it was just gorgeous as she has dark brown eyes the contrast'was
really pretty but she dyed it an ugly amber color then just a few years ago she quit dying it and its really pretty snowy white almost silver.so many women do go grey by then and
'sometimes it can be very attractive too.

I think gray hair is amazing at any age!! I love seeing men and women who are totally comfortable with their silver hair! Be proud of it!!
