Poor baby!
Someone should have taken that
animal to the vet
so that it's life could be spared.
No need for an animal
to suffer so needlessly.
There are things that can be
done medically to help an animal
suffering from tick bite.

Hi cream97! Yes, I do once in awhile. I usually see one or two underneath its ears. We always know that they do have it when our dogs usually scratch their ears and when we checked it out, we will see a tick or two. Then we get them and squash it! haha..
Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

Hi there, actually its just sucking their blood. Sometimes if the dogs are really too lazy to scratch or the tick is embedded in an unreacheable part of the dogs skin, it would stay there until it too heavy and fall by itself on the ground. You should use Frontline to kill those ticks on your dog

It is sad to see an animal suffer from ticks. I know an easy way to remove them without causing more discomfort to the animal. Put a glob of liquid soap on a cotton ball and hold over the tick for 15 to 20 seconds. When you pull the cotton away, you will see the tick is now on the cotton, not on the dog. :)

The tick isnt eating the dogs flesh but sucking the blood, if you leave them long enough they will eventually suck so much bloody they just drop off. However this isnt advisable as they can carry some nasty dieseases dangerous to both dogs and humans. So the best thing is to remove them with a tick remover trying not to touch the tick. A good spray of lavender and ecalyptus sprayed before a walk will discourage the ticks as will ltting the dog chew a bit of garlic before a walk as they dont like the smell.
