whjat makes white tigers white ?

does any body know what makes white tigers different from other tigers? do they have more/less chromosomes or something? were they genetically altered by scientists? if any body knows please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

White tigers are a result of mix breeding and then imbreeding, it's a certain genetic material that makes them white, and it's more of an imbomination because the result of a white tiger is 20 others that were imperfect and are killed or won't have lives that will be easy....

white tigers are a result of: two orange tigers carrying the same mutant genes can produce a white tiger cub, and white tigers that are bred together will have white cubs. it is something in thiers genes i dont think that it is or was altered by scientists its just apart of nature, i also dont think that they are not abominations they are beautiful creatures. you wont find them in the wild because of pochers who wanted thiers skins, so they are bread in captivity. if you wacth the animal planet channel, they often have shows on the white tigers you can see and hear all the info i just wrote on thier...
