I just wonder if how often do you give your dog a bath? We do not always give them bath because I fear that they might just get sick and die, but we always make it a point to bath them at some point when we feel they already need so. Any good advice from your own experience, please share.

twice a week we also brush their teeth so they won't stink when they lick you!

Hi, I give my dog a bath about twice per month, (of course more often if we take a walk and it's raining and he gets really dirty or something :P) I think it works out fine that way. But I can't brush his teeth, he'll get real mad and try to bite me :(

it is not necessary to bathe your dog more than once a month (unless they have gotten into something). brushing your dog is much more important. it distributes the oils that occur naturally on their skin, keeping their coat shiny and smooth!

It depends on the breed: I have a shih-tzu and he takes abath 2x a week as not to destroy his long hair; our doberman Jaguar takes a bath every other day to eliminate his strong odor and our mixed-bred german shepherd Gonner takes a bath 3x a week to avoid falling hair.
It's really tough taking care of them but the price is rewarding.

Done properly (or even imporperly to be honest) there is no reason why your dog will get sick and die from a abth, unless you live in a very cold climate then just make sure the house is warm after.
I wash my dog maybe every two weeks, probably a clip and trim just as much between 2-4 weeks depends how hairy and how dirty she is lol.
