Happy Memorial Day to all of you. I realize Memorial Day is strictly American, but I'd like to know from you what you do on Memorial Day? Do only remember the armed forces that have passed away? Or do you remember loved ones in general that are gone? Do you just use the day as another holiday to party? Or do you view it as a kick off to Summer? I really want to hear what you do on Memorial Day.

We do not practice Memorial Day here in Singapore. I only remember public holidays. If we do have a holiday slated for Memorial Day, I would still remember it as just another holiday. Perhaps I am never patriotic in any way. LOL.

This is a picture of me and my family - I'm very proud of my husband who is a veteran of Desert Storm. He had to serve for six months. One good thing that resulted from that experience is that he got a job with the U.S. Postal Service when he got back home.
Happy Memorial Day to you also!! We usually sleep in on Memorial Day since it is a day off from school and work for my husband. We then go to my mother-in-law's later in the afternoon to eat supper with her. We always remember what the holiday stand for though. My husband is a veteran of Desert Storm so it holds special meaning for me. At our church we always have the veterans from all wars to stand and we give them honor. It is always a very touching service. We have one veteran from our church who is from World War II. God Bless!!
