Do you like Wal-Mart or Target better?

Personally I dislike Wal-Mart. I avoid it like the plague. There is so much in there and I tend to buy a lot more than I would if I would have just went to Kroger. We don't have a Target here but I have been know to drive 1 1/2 hours just to shop at Target! Of course now that gas is sooooo high I can't do that anymore. Target has great clearance sales and I hardly ever find stuff on clearance in Wal-Mart. Plus I have had problems trying to use coupons in Wal-Mart. It is just always so much grief trying to deal with them.

When it comes to Wal Mart verses Target you have to admit that Wal Mart has everything that you would need for the house, car, home, etc. That is what i know for a fact that has them all over the country. They are an all in one store. Target is good too but not as good as Wal Mart. What gets Target by it that some of their prices might be cheaper than the other stores. I have shopped at Target from time to time for the prices. Then on ther other had Wal Mart is and all around store. Also they are 24 hours and Target it not. That helps to; in the middle fo the night if you need something they are open.

Target. I used to work for The Walmart, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. They really aren't all that they say there as far as their low prices, and don't get me started on how the morale is there from how the employees are treated. They offer to match other stores' prices, but I kind of doubt that, since I've gotten better deals on items at Target or Best Buy, and in better condition!

They do match prices, I've done it many times. I have friends that work at Walmart and they were telling me about a profit sharing program where they got bonuses 4 times a year!!!

I like both Target and Wal-Mart. I like the prices at WM for household items better than at Target but I have found the marked down clothing at Target to be great and have bought them there for my children for years. I go to T more since that is where my daughter seems to go and I have been shopping with her quite a bit lately. I actually need to go to WM right now to get some things for the house.

I like Walmart for certain things and Target for certain things. Walmart is alittle closer to my house, so I guess I go there more often. Target has more things of interest in their store.

Whatever I have experienced, based on that,i would like to say that i prefer wal-mart to target.target, according to me,is for people having fixed likes and dislikes, whereas wal-mart keeps on replenishing newer, more attractive stuff and offers stuffs for any budget.only thing is, that it is always so so crowded..

I prefer Wal-MArt. There is no Target in my town and I hate driving elsewhere to shop.

I like Walmart because it's closer to me than all the other big stores. When I am in a bigger town I will go to Target and Shopco and places like that.

I like Wal-mart, I shop there all the time, I can find everything I need in one store. But the thing is, they built a new supercenter in our town a couple yrs. ago, we had a smaller wal-mart before and it was right in town. This new store they built it about 5 miles out of town, its way out there, and sometimes I don't feel like driving way out there to the store, especially with gas prices being this high. I know alot of people feel this way, its kinda out of the way, I don't know why they did it. We have a grocery store thats right in town, and alot of times I just go there, cause I don't have to drive that far, they might not have everything I need, and sometimes its more expensive than wal-mart, but who wants to drive out of the way to save money, and at this store when you use coupons they will usually double them, so you save more. The only target close to here is about an hour away, so I don't get to shop there much.

I totally love Target much better! I love their service, the cleanliness, the fact that the isles are large enough for several people to walk through! Everytime I go to Walmart it is packed out, it just seems unclean, and there is barely any space to walk anywhere. The only problem with Target is that they do not offer very ethno centric type products, and my kids need certain hair products which they do not offer. But I totally prefer Target over Walmart anyday.

we don't have walmart here... we just have target, K-Mart or Big W... and my favourite is K-Mart... i find the price there is the most reasonable one and the goods are also not too bad... of course target has better fashion in terms of the clothing style... but the price is much higher than K-Mart... so i prefer to shop at K-Mart to save money... take care and have a nice day...

The Walmart near me doesn't have a grocery store in it, juts a few food isles. For other things I prefer Walmart. I have a stringent budget. To tell the truth though, they have a better selection of the clothes I wear, than Target does and for less money than Target does. They are aren't that far apart from each other for driving distance, so that isn't an issue for me.

i think walmart has the better prices out of the two stores but they do not keep the store neat and organized and they never have enough registers open. in addition the help they hire is nearly always incompetent and the cashiers are rude and you can never find someone to help you when you need it. target's store is spotless and neat and organized all of the time and they always have sufficient registers open and their cashiers are friendlier and more efficient. if given a choice between the two i really like walmart better but find it to be an annoying experience most times compared to target.

Well , I like Target for home decor and shoes. Also they have unique things there . Walmart I like the beauty section more , because they have many choices . They also are good for the summer when i need tanks and shorts . So, I suppose I like them both for differnt reasons . One things I hate about walmart are the crowds and lines .

I have to admit that I agree with you -- I like Target a lot better too. They have a nicer selection of merchandise and you can get great deals. I've also liked shopping online with them, which is very convenient and then you don't have to deal with the hassle of going into the store. With the cost of gas rising -- I think online shopping is just going to get more and more popular. Try shopping online at Target! You won't have to drive there!!! :)
