I quit my day job!

To start babysitting full time at home which is the best job I love doing in the whole world, I love babies from crawling with them on the floor to teaching them to walk and talk and noticing all the little thing they learn every day. It was hard to quit the guilt of leaving my team members, But this is for me and the joy I want to put back in my life. This is more rewarding then making sure a burger is built right. The future is in our hands as adults and we have a big responsibility to our children and directing them to a great path!

Thank you! Yes I always make people laugh, my girls are good girls and while they grew up I always made sure everyday I told them I loved them and always hugged them. Now they don't want it so much so I get loney with no one to hug. I worry one day they will be gone, so I continue telling them how much I love them and will always be here for them no matter what.

Congratulations on your recent job change! What a change it is. I once hoped to have a day care home and checked into the possibilities. There is such a great need for this service.

I am always happy when I see someone be able to do a job that they love. And, it sounds like you're going to be a good babysitter because you have a good attitude towards children. I wish my babysitters had that attitude. I had a couple of really nice ones, but I had some really nasty, evil ones.

Thank you. Me to a couple of times. Thats why early on in my girls lives I stayed home while they were young. But now I am so happy because I know how I want my children treated and I have seen some sites that say "no infants!" and I think that is sad. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment.

I guess that's the best decision AmericanWOman, at a young age, kids need you most and it is much wonderful that the mom is taking care of them, it's different when you will just ask someone to do it. ANyway, as they will grow and begin to attend school, you can go back working again and for sure, your team mates will mis you but they will understand why you choose to be with your kids and family 24/7.

Being happy at a job can be vital. If you get more from it than your other job, go for it. I am sure you make a contribution that counts. That can mean alot. Enjoy it everyday. I say good for you.

It sounds as though this job is going to give you a lot more job satisfaction than your previous job. It is also a lot more flexible, so you can balance your time between children, mylot and household tasks as you don't have to waste hours of your day travelling to and from work.

i agree completely with you... raising a child is the best thing that a woman can do and is the best job... i will also quit my job if i have a child already... i don't have any now so i still work full time... but once i have my own children, i am determined to raise them by myself until they grow up before i go back to work again... take care and have a nice day...

Yes, that sounds good.It is sometimes hard it seems now days you need to good incomes to survive.I put over twice the amount of gas in my car now, than I did 5 years ago when I bought it.Children should be raised by mommies and they can be just have to find the right person to instill the same values as you do too working as a team. Thanks

good for you,I hope you enjoy it as much as I have for the last 40 years,I have now basicaly had to give it up with the exception of family,as I am also a locksmith with my own business which I also love,I just no longer am able to handle the parents that refuse to allow my methods. I guess I am just to olf fashioned for this day and age. But as you are still young,I am sure the babies will learn plenty from you. Many Blessings.

Thank you. your methods huh,lol I am a believer that talking about your child hood and happy times of growing up in the country and also the city sharing your life experience with others will sooner or later have a need in there life. One day I will be gone and I would love to be remembered in a good way.

I absolutely loved working in daycare-preschool. I loved thinking of interesting units to "study" everything for a week would have to do with the unit. Kind of like Kindergarten-lite. The kids seemed to enjoy it too. If I had the right kind of house, I might have quit my dayjob too and opened a home daycare. As it is, I can't afford to be a teacher in that setting anymore as they aren't paid what they are worth. Congrats on being able to do what you love!

If you're really happy watching children then I wouldn't feel guilty quitting my day job! It seems like you really love what you do and if you were unhappy with your regular job, then it's time you did something you enjoy.

That is the best attitude for someone who works with children can have. It is rewarding work. I am glad that you are able to do something that you love to do. Also happy that you commited to helping to put children on the right path. I did home day care for a few years, it was wonderful to be with the children, it was rough on my home however. Wonderful luck to you.

I babysit my neice and i have been caught in some embarressing positions playing with her (i've had her since she was about 3weeks old). Not that i cared , we have the best times! I worked when my own kids were small so this has been a whole new experience and it is great! She is 3yrs. old now and we still have a blast most of the time.
