arent allowed on my desk....I'm usin my husbands computer today and my "teenage" cat Bob just decided to hop up onto the desk and is wakling back and forth in front of the screen then he tries to climb onto my shoulder..then walks the desk...ITS DRIVING ME NUTS! LOL I honestly don't know how some of you can type with animals climbing all over you LOL I love my pets dont get me wrong but they need to stay the hell off my desk especially when I'm sitting at it (or in this case my husbands)and for that matter stay the hell off the tables and counters too cause I really can't stand that! does your cat or pet like to sit on your lap or drape over the computer etc while you are online or working? If so, how does it not annoy you LOL Do you let your pets jump up, walk on, nap on, hang out on the tables and counters?

One of my girls, Voodoo, likes to chase the mouse cursor. I have to try not to move it when she's looking or she'll paw at the screen. Annoying yes, but still very cute. It's when I'm organising paperwork and they dive in like it's a big pile of leaves that I get really ticked off! Still quite funny in retrospect!

LMFAO too funny!! omg my youngest cat is frisky like that....not so much when I'm organizing but if I'm writing she feels the need to let me know in various ways that she doesnt like that and I should be paying attention to her damn it..and she LOVES jumping into things..like laundry baskets, the magazine basket in the bathroom, grocery bags, my husbands shoes and boots LOL...

She has such a pleased look on her face too, amidst the mess she's made! Just like a little kid. She loves climbing into things too. Any open boxes or bags and she's straight in there. She used to love climbing inside the laundry basket but we had to throw it away after she was in there one time and we noticed a trickle of pee coming out of the bottom.

Felix - Me trying to type while cat-handicapped
Oh yes, my male cat, Felix, will lie on my lap while I'm typing, and lie with is head on my left hand and arm occasionally pushing his head forward to lie his head on my hand as I'm typing. As you can imagine, this interferes with my typing a bit He also likes to sit on the mousemat so that I can't use the mouse as it's under his bottom. He also likes to sit on the top of the monitor (nice and warm) and more often or not his rather long tail hangs down over the screen. Of course, I'm pretty tolerant of all this as he's my favourite boy

Banjo doesn't drape on me but he does drape on the keyboard or the mouse. And he does it with such attitude! He gives me these slight backward or sideways looks as he plops down, gets up and moves from one place to the other, so I'm getting the message that he is uncomfortable. I have to figure out that his bowl is empty and he wants to eat 5 minutes ago. I'm afraid I did let him on the table when he was little. I had just got him and it didn't worry me at the time as it's just me and the critters. But when I realised it annoyed me, it was too late. I can't keep him off now. When he wants to go out, he uses my leg as a scratching post.....ouchy!

LOL you poor thing. Our cat used to do that and we had sort of a "revolving door" system. She'd climb up on the desk and I'd pick her up and put her on the floor. She'd go around the other side and jump back up. I'd pick her up and put her back on the floor. Over, and over, and over. lol. Finally she'd get shut out of the room while I was working. Our other cat used to climb up my leg to try to get onto the dinner table when she was a kitten. It took a while to break her of that habit, but we managed.

ROFLMAO omg I just visualized that and hot damn thats just funny! the "revolving door system" *giggling uncontrolably* thats priceless!! Our older female cat Maggie is like that with my husband and my son when she wants to be up on their laps..I giggle my butt off when she does it to my husband cause he gets so frustrated (I shouldnt laugh but I just can't help it sometimes) Bobby was driving me nuts..He didnt do the "chase the mouse" thing cause he was too busy slapping my shoulder with his paw (thats what he does when he wants attention but usually its my back since at MY computer he can't reach my shoulder LOL), waggling his tail in my face and watching my fingers on the keyboard..oh and did I mention his butt was up against the screen so I couldn't see what the hell I was doing LOL

i don't have a pet at the moment... but when i have one, i don't think i will like it to wonder around in my computer desk while i am busy doing my work... it will be very annoying and obstructing my work as well... when we have a dog in the past, we don't let her jump on the table... she just have to stay on the floor... take care and have a nice day...

One of my little dogs likes to drape himself over my shoulder and watch the computer screen then when he get bored or wants my attention he starts digging into my scalp with both front paws... and it hurts! So then I yell at him and retreats with a poor me, how could you, look on his face.

Well fortunately for me, my two "angels" are pretty well behaved and have the sense not to bother "mom" while at the computer. Only occasionally will I be "interrupted". I guess every once in awhile, my one cat Kissy, thinks she needs more attention. So here I am sitting in front of the computer..it's quiet, I'm rattling off words on my keyboard, then OUCH! You see she has a habit of sitting up a bit and digs her lovely claws into my thigh wanting attention. Then once in a blue moon, she does hop up on the desk and gets between me and the monitor so I can't see shat..So both times of course have to stop everything and give her attention. Now Pyewacket was a naughty boy one time. I had just gone to bed and was falling asleep when ....crashhhhh. He had jumped up on the top of the computer hutch where I have a lot of nice figurines...well as you can guess, he knocked one of them down...grrrr. He KNEW I was annoyed and ever since he never hopped up again...thank goodness.

Iggy, my youngest, has recently started to sleep on my desk. It probably wouldn't be so bad if it was a bit tidier but still...I don't want him to make it a habit! Something he's always done is plant himself between my feet and try to crawl up my legs. But to do this, he uses his head to push back the keyboard tray. I'll be in the middle of tying something and then all of the sudden the keyboard is taken away. Finally he's happy when he can crawl up and snuggle in my arm. Still doesn't help when I'm trying to type, though! And if that doesn't work, he'll jump on the arm of the chair, then crawl onto my shoulder as if he's trying to see what I'm doing. As you can see, he doesn't take no for an answer! LOL

Our cat dose. Technically he's not supposed to, but no one but my father cares. So he gets away with it. The dog loves sunbathing on the picknick table though. THAT is odd.

te youngest of the brood.. used to get into my lap while i was at the desk, which was fine. until she started batting at my screen whenever id scroll an email or page or whatever made movement on the screen, that annoyed. she hasnt done it since she fell and landed on my bare thigh,, sunk in all 20 claws tokeep from hitting the floor.. and i picked her up by the scruff and tossed her with a very loud scream of pain. the older, only bothers me if theres something he needs, or theres something in the house that shouldnt be here.. bugs, mice.. needs food, water, etc. and will sit on the floor.. reach up and continually smack me in the elbow with his paw. theyre both allowed on the furniture, sofa, chair.. windowsills.. but not allowed onto the tables or counters or stove. that irritates the sh*t out of me. my sister in law let hers get all over the place in the kitchen, and served me and my family a brunch of homemade cinnamon rolls.. complete with wads of cathair. i was pregnant at the time and very nearly puked all over her. i refused to ever eat anything shed prepared either in her house or not from that moment on!!

My cats are allowed anywhere they want to go. The only time they bother me at the computer is when it's close to their dinner time. Josie tells me that she's starving and won't survive another minute. Peaches only bothers anyone who is eating dairy. She loves ice cream, cream cheese, any other cheese. I love them; they can do whatever they want.

My cat Oliver is well known for climbing all over. I don't like the hair that's left behind. When I got him at 6 weeks old he was a short haired cat. Today he has long hair, SURPRISE!!!!! He likes to sit in front of the screen too. The fur falls on to the keyboard and makes me crazy. He's shedding like crazy. He refuses to let me brush him. I find that when he's on the computer I have to pet him and say HELLO then he leaves.
