Forget the grilled cheese, have you tried grilled peanutbutter and jelly?

Yes, I have grilled a peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich before. It makes the jam warm and yummy. It makes the peanut butter all 'melty'. I really enjoy making old standby sandwiches in a 'new' way and this is one that I sometimes do.

Grilled jelly, No. Grilled peanutbutter, Yes, I have tried it. I tasted nice as long as the sandwich is wrapped up. To grill it openly over fire, the peanut butter tastes a weebit dry and hard. Perhaps some honey after that might do the trick. Well, it's for you to try and for me to know :P

I have done something similar to this. I saw on Top Chef one season that they made kind of a French toast peanut butter and jelly so I tried that and it was amazing. Another thing that I have tried that is similar to the grilled peanut butter and jelly was peanut butter and jelly on toast. I'm going to have to try making just a grilled peanut butter and jelly sometime soon!

Wow, loujac3. I've never heard of a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It does seem that it would be really tasty: all warm and crunchy. I bet those who love bananas could add those on there also. Well, maybe I should try to whip this one up.

Yum...I have tried it..so good. You might also want to try grilled cheese and peanut butter sandwich. Sounds weird, tastes good! Another good one is a peanut butter and jelly quesadilla. Take 2 flour tortillas put pbj in the middle and grill....kids like it.

That's such an awesome combination! I love how the peanut butter melts into the nooks and crannies of the toasty bread. My favorite is a toasted peanut butter and banana, though. Mmm! I have, shockingly, bananas in the house, so maybe I'll do that for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder! :)

I have tried this before and it is very good! One time my husband got a crazy idea and poured some pancake syrup over the sandwich too, you talk about good!

I love that idea.
No, I've never tried it before.
I'll bet that it warms the jam and
peanut butter and tastes all yummy!
I try to warm the peanut butter before
spreading on regular non-grilled bread.
I like grilled bread and toast, so maybe this
could be my next big food obsession!
Thanks for the idea.
Be well.

Yes I love it! I love mixing up and grilling sandwhiches.
Try grilling a peanut butter sandwhich and eating it with maple syrup. It's so good. xD

I love grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. For some reason it does make it taste so much richer than if it were just slapped on two pieces of bread and made into a regular pb&j sandwich.
