I didn't try yet. I have dry bath wipes for cats. I am afraid to try. I bet she can cry aloud....

I wish I would of kept on giving them the baths so they would get used to them. Seems I only did when needed and now it is harder . All they do is cry and scratch . It is always better though when they are not alone.

I took my one cats Prince to the vets to be neutered and he was so scared that he wet his cat carrier . The doc said we could bathe him for 2 weeks. I tried baby wipes and it did to a point. I tried last weekend to give him a bath and all he did was cry and scratch . Never again , unless it is a must . It was so easy when they all were kittens.

I give my cat a bath regularly. I got her when she was a kitten and started giving her baths then so she is used to them now. She has never really minded her bath. The thing she hates worse is when I try to towel dry her. She just wants to take off and start licking herself. Speaking of cat baths, that is actually on my agenda for today.

I do not have any kittens. But at one time I did. I do not like giving kittens a bath because alot of times they can not handle it. I think 6 weeks is a good age for a bath. I knwo as they get older they will not baths and tend to scratch.

I never had this opportunity to give bath to a young kitten. I had a male siamese cat who was 2 years old. I used to give him a bath and he was just busy in running away while having bath. I guess he was scared from getting baths. But baths are necessary for all living things.

baobei - he'll meow non-stop when bathed
i try to bathe my cats every other month. they are not really dirty though. i keep them indoors all the time but they'll still get a little 'sticky' after a while. i didn't start them young so it's a chore bathing them. my girl is the most cooperative though she'll complain a little if i take too long. my longhair boy will meow and meow like he is crying. i'll be all sweaty and wet after bathing all three of them. ;p

Wow, that's a very cute pic! Is he not afraid of water? Because my cats are so afraid of water I can't really bathe them. I'm thinking, what if I use lukewarm water? Are they afraid of water because of a cold temperature or do they really hate water in any temperature? Thanks!

Hey Hey You cant give a kitten a bath in cold water at all . it could make them very sick and body temp could drop . I suppose that is true with all animals even if not a kitten . My one cat in the pic was super easy to give a bath and the other ones were a little scared . I think it was much easier because they were babies . A month ago my cat got dirty and i tried to bathe him and it was not as easy . He sat in the water while I soaped him up , but once the rinse he jumped out . Each cat is different

I have had to bathe kittens that I've rescued and had fleas. They're not thrilled with but if you keep them calm and continue to do it often they learn to like it and be pretty calm. My one cat would bathe without a single howl!

Yes I have. And what a nightmare. My best friend and I both got scratched. I will never do it again for any cat. I will shell out money to have pros do it. I learned my lesson.

My husband gave some cats I used to have a bath once they looked like drowned rats when they were wet! The kittens we have now we have never given a bath to they seem to be really clean and they bathe themselves all the time.

I am not much of a cat person but when i look at the close-up photo of your babyluv, he/she has really adorable blue eyes! You must be very happy with him/her, a total bunch of love! My pets are 3dogs: a shih-tzu, a doberman, and a mixed-bred; I also have a talking bird, Myna. Good day!

i have given my cats a bath but none of them ever liked it. they always used to claw and try and run away. I used to give them baths only when they were really dirty for example when they fell into a ditch or something. I think cats really hate water. your kitty must be an exception

I had to give my female cat, EB a bath when she was a kitten. She was about four weeks old and got pee on herself and everywhere. She was having potty training trouble. And she smelled bad. So I gave her a quick wash. She put up with it. But I think she got so scared that she ran around the house peeing on everything after her bath! LOL! Our big male cat was mystified. He hates water!

I think when they are kittens they don't mind as much, because it is just something more for them to discover. When the kittens got the bath the first time it was a group thing. Now , if I try to give a bath they cry and claw me up. As soon as the door will open they will run around the whole house like they are crazy. Aww, seems your poor little kitty was scared . I just took my boy cat's to the vet and the one peed himself in the cat carrier. The vet said to use babywipes and that didn't work . I had to give him a bath and he just went crazy.

You were lucky. When I still had my cat she hatedit. And with a passion. If I got away with a bloody scratch I considered myself lucky. I loved my cat. She got into something at one point in the garage. I still have no idea what it was. Unfortunately due to allergies from my daughter we no longer are a cat household.

I understand why you done it but I dont think you are supposed to bath cats. The vets do not recommend it and they are scared of water. Anyway, my cat never stops cleaning himself!

I never tried to have a cat as a pet. But, my grandmother used to say that if the cat had a bath, it will rain. I don't know if it is a myth?
