My oldest kids are in their 20's and I craved ice cream with both of them and they were boys. With my daughter, who is 11,it was root beer and plenty of ice.I still always want root beer and plenty of ice. After 11 years.During the pregnancies and even after each kid was born I could not even stand to look at an egg or I was nacious, lol. When my sister was pregnant she craved V8 juice! Yuk!I don't even like it when Iam not pregnant, lol. What did or do you crave,or your wife or girlfriend crave?

I craved tartar sauce with my first pregnancy and interestingly enough it makes me sick this time around! Now I crave McDonalds Apple Dippers. No other apples will do it, just the ones from McDonalds. How odd...

I always hated green olives until I was pregnant with my first-I just had to have them all the time! Funny thing is 3 years after that I came home with them again-my husband looked at me weird, I told him, i just happen to still like green olives. Two weeks later, i found out I was pregnant with my second! lol

Airheads! That was another craving in my second pregnancy. I would go into the gas station and buy like 10 at a time (that was my limit haha) and the cashier probably thought it was pretty weird seeing a pregnant girl just buying a ton of Airheads.

My craving was for noodles and spicy food. It was all I wanted to eat. I had it for lunch while working. And every weekend we would go to the shops and I'd order noodles for lunch. Then something spicy like curry for dinner. The more spicy it is the better. Which is not good at all for pregnant women! Once we went to a Thai restaurant and we ordered chilli crab. Yum! It was excellent! I wanted to go back for more the following day. lol

I was always under the understanding that spicy food was bad for a pregnant woman. On this discussion Iam finding more pregnant women craved spicy foods.

I craved lemons. I would slice them up and put a little salt on them, and eat them up! I didn't eat much junk food, cookies and chips and stuff like that, while I was pregnant. Even after the delivery, it took me a long time to start eating junk again!

Well, I haven't been pregnant in a very long time, but I still remember those cravings. I craved vinegar. Not pickles, but vinegar. I would make salads with only vinegar on them, no oil. I also would drink the vinegar out of the pickle jar! lol I had a refrigerator full of dried up little pickles! lol The other thing I craved was rare steak. I used to make my family sick. My Mother swore I was having "Rosemary's Baby!" lol
I never actually threw up, but I got deathly sick smelling a chicken stewing. I have never liked stewed chicken and I have no idea why I decided to put one on to cook. I actually had to go outside! To this day I can't stand the smell of it.

Iam allergic to vinegar.I don't eat pickles or dressings on my salad. When I was first pregnant with my first child at the place I worked the men came in and washed the windows with vinegar water mix and I was sick. Before that even I worked at a restaurant where they washed the tables with that and I had to talk to the manager about giving me a diffrent chore.

I craved caramel apples! I told my doctor about it and he told me that when I have a craving that I should go ahead and get it or I will crave it all through the pregnancy! that was over 30 yrs ago, but I felt he was right! The thing that made me nauseaus was mayonnaise. I am fine with it now though!

Hello.
I've had three children now. Let me see - with my first (which was a girl) I craved really sour things. I liked cucumbers and tomatoes in lemon juice and vinegar, sour candy. I really wanted a lot of veggies and fruits - healthy stuff! With my second, who was also a girl, I craved chocolate everyday. I didn't really have any major cravings with her - I just wanted chocolate. With my third (a boy) I craved meat & potatoes! I also had a week of craving hot & sour soup - and I ate tons of bread and desserts (I never ate bread before that - except with sandwiches). But I really enjoyed meat and really, I can do without meat normally - I don't have to have it! Weird!

I craved pickles and ate so many of the dang things I'm surprised my daughter didn't come out pickled....lol. I haven't really eaten them in the twelves years since, either. I also craved spicy things, I would put a bit of hot sauce on my spaghetti, but tried to go easy because of heartburn. And lastly I craved salads. I ate more salad during that time than ever in my life, but I figure that was a good thing. Salad with pickles and spaghetti with hot sauce, my friends and coworkers thought I was nuts. Go figure.

For my first son, I craved pizza like 24/7. I swear I was going to have a pizza baby! I also craved cheese nips.
For my second son, the only way that I first found out I was pregnant was through craving crab salad. I made it over and over and it was all I ate for all 3 meals for weeks. My friend commented on it one day that it looked like I had a "pregnancy craving" so I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I took another one a week later and found out I was already 2 months along at that time! So for him it was crab salad, junior mints, cheesecake, and ketchup. I also had a huge thing for Mocha Swirl Iced Lattes from Dunkin Donuts. Before I had him, I hated ketchup and now I love it. Weird!
For both of them, I craved ice cream like there was no tomorrow! Also, since I had my first one, I still can't look at an egg or eat one again for some reason.

I was always craving hot and spicy food all of the time. I love Mexican food anyway. I ate that alot. I think I may have ate it at least twice per day. That was about the only thing I ever had a craving for. Every now and then I would crave pizza or White Castle also. I loved Big Red too. I still eat alot of spicy food and my daughter loves it also.

I craved ice with both of my children as my iron level was always low. However, it still is and so I still crave it. The doctor said that I should take iron pills but they make my stomach cramp till I can't stand it. We decided that I would just have to eat plenty of green vegtables and foods with iron in them.
I am glad that I never craved anything else. I hear of women craving strange things and I am so glad that I didn't.
