Are monkeys our relatives?

Scientists often claim that we humans decend from primates, such as monkeys. I was taught as a child that we humans were made in the image of God. So have the scientists got it wrong?

I don't know but I think we are relatives of the monkeys. I mean we use to have a tail and we still have the bone in our body. There are other things that the scientists say that makes us relatives. But everyone is entitled to his or her opinion.
