Pick-up lines gives me the creeps whenever I hear them.
The most recent ones I've heard so far are "that's a nice shirt can I talk you out of it?" and the one I always hear is "is your dad a terrorist coz you're the bomb!"
Pick-up lines aren't pick-up lines when they're not corny!
Most people in our country don't know anything about them, except for those who are living an American lifestyle here.
Do you use them? What can you say about it?

I think they're hilarious. The cheesier the better, for me.
Usually, they're used as a joke or 'ice breaker', in my experience, but there are a few people who actually take them seriously. I always think the people who are actually taking them seriously are joking, so it doesn't really bother me.
I use them around the house, when my guy and I are playing, but I'm 'taken' so I don't use them in public. :) When I was single, I had quite a repetoir and would use them on my male friends all of the time, as a joke.

yeah! like the first comment, i also think they're funny.
even when someone from the office is not a mood for a joke whenever they hear a pick-up line from a really funny person, they'd laugh at it. it lightens the mood. although, the delivery really matters.
there's one guy from the office who can always make anyone happy with pick-up lines. because we never really use them in other ways.
if you're a girl and someone told you this out of nowhere so that he could get your attention because you're the only one who isn't minding:
"did you just eat something with sugar, because you have a really sweet smile."
or...
"i know where you are last night, you're here at my heart."
and between girls we dig some punchlines like:
"what do we need a handsome guy for, if he's not our boyfriend."
or
"not all handsome guys have girlfriends, some of them have boyfriends."
last one... please... i hope you don't mind.

"are they orbit jeans because your butts out of this world"
"get the hose your on fire!"
"can I have your number I lost mine"
"Do you have a band-Aid? Cos I just scraped my knee falling for you."
"Girl, you gotta be tired cuz you been runnin' through my mind all day."
"Stand still so I can pick you up!"
There's a few for you. I love pick up lines! I think any guy that is really willing to use them must have a real sence on humor and helll why not give it a try! or should I say him a try lol.

I know tons of them! I have always had a lot of male friends so I have heard it all. Now I work with 13 men (well boys lol), I'm the only girl. They think it is funny to use pick up lines on me when they want some thing.

I am not a guy, and the ones I just read are atrocious. How can a guy say this to a lady? Guys can not come up with something better than this? I guess it shows there maturity.
Give me a rose, a single rose and say something sweet and take notice that I am a lady. It will get my attention. They need to not forget that most ladies want to be treated as ladies. Not objects. Sure there are a few out there that just do not care. I believe them to be few and far between. There is a different in girls, a woman, a lady or a tramp. Excuse any indifference. They require handling in different ways. But if I may say so they all like being treated as a lady. At least I would think they would. It's all about respect!
Likewise, girls need to treat a guy with respect.

I know, if everyone showed the other person more respect...for each other and for their thoughts there would be less fighting. And I don't mean just in here, everywhere.

No one has ever tried a pick up line on me for real.
It's always just jokes.
If someone actually seriously tried to use a corny pick up line I'd probably just laugh and talk to them just cause they made me laugh. I wouldn't hook up with them for it or anything. Haha.

Sounds like pick up lines have been degenerating a bit! Last I knew it was "what sign are you?"

Pick-up lines get on my last nerve. I think I have heard just about all of them by now. I was told so many things by guys when I was younger and dating them. they will tell you anything just to get you to fall for it. I would rather for someone to speak straight to me without using them and be sincere when speaking to me.

Hi Chivolaski ! I'm a guy and personally I hate pick-up lines! If their funny its a good ice-breaker, if you use them it shows that you've got nerve and a sense of humour.Guys who use them with the idea that they will get a women into bed with the lines are even funnier!I just approach the girl I like, introduce myself offer a drink and then chat and ask questions! I prefer being straightforward. I'm sure every guy has felt the point where their talking to someone they really like but are stuck for something to say! One that I've heard recently 'on a scale of one to ten .. your a 9.f*** me!

People use pick-up lines when they want to make an impression. They think such words will have more effect on the person they are trying to impress, especially when they hear other people using them, particularly if they hear them from friends they admire. But what might sound good from another mouth may not be comfortable in mine.
The sad thing is that many people do not realise that the most impressive thing is to be yourself. It means the person on the receiving end can make up their mind as to whether they like what they are seeing and hearing, or not. That is always the surest way to make the right impression rather than to be using a meaningless cliché.
