Most ppl keep their house moderately clean and presentable. Maybe the dishes are in the sink or the beds not made but nothing major. Some ppl keep their house immaculate without anything out of place. Then there are some that have to hire a bulldozer if company is expected…you know the kind. Our apartment is moderately clean…there are a few dishes in the sink, the bed isn’t made yet and little things need to be done. It isn’t a wreck or anything, it just hasn’t been straightened yet today. Thankfully I don’t expect anyone so I can take my time with it. Would your house pass an inspection today? What condition is it normally in? Would you go through and clean it if company was coming by or leave it as is? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I try to keep my place clean but there tends to be grease around the burners and the kitchen floor often needs to be cleaned - the place is small and rather hard to keep up. At least right now it's clean for the inspection and will stay that way till I get out of here. The next place will be easier to clean, with better floors.

Oh definitely bulldozer here if not more help than that..I am constantly getting on everyone, Including or even especially my husband for cleaning up after themselves and helping in keeping everything clean..Now if it was just me, no problem, I can keep things tidy enough for drop by company, but with my family, the only time I can get real cleaning out of them is to tell them company is coming..

I am not a clean freak but my house doens't need a dozer unless it is for the closets which is where most things go when we can't find somewhere to put it. My mom needs a bull dozer..lol I have a moderate and presentable house as you say a few dishes in the sinl and a magazine or two laying about but that is all..that is all my husband will let me do because he is a clean freak and wants everything to be clean so we compromise not immaculate but not dirty either..I don't make my bed everyday but I have heard that is a good thing because it helps prevent mold by giving it time to air like they said not to wear shoes two days in a row to give them time to dry. Inspection today? Yeah, even though I have had my little 7 year old sister her most the week I have been trying my bes tot keep it straightened and cleaned so my husband has one least thing to grip about..I think I would go through and clean it it i sjust somehting I have always done to straighten things up more when company is coming.

I would say my house is clean but not immaculate. Whether or not I would do a major clean if I had company coming would depend on the company. But most likely I would leave it as it is concidering it isn't awful or anything like that.

If you had seen my house yesterday, it sure wouldn't have passed inspection. Since going back to work, I've been letting things slide. My husband and son don't straighten out much on their own. So today, Saturday, I spent the whole day clearing off every surface in the house. The dining table was completely covered, the kitchen counters, the bathroom sinktops, you name it. I told everyone I'm not spending my first day off doing this every week. We'll see how it goes.

Oh gosh. My house is a mess! Ok, so not as bad as some as we can still see benches and floors and walk through the place without obstruction. I just don't have the space to sort through our collected junk or the time, but am making an effort to get it done slowly. We pass inspection every time, but here, the laws state that unless the property is being damaged by the tenants living habits, the landlord or property manager is not allowed to pass judgement on how you live. Our property manager is very nice, and trying to get the owners to fix some important problems we currently have. I'd like my house to be alot cleaner, but I have 4 kids and don't want to spend all my days cleaning up spot spills and finger prints on windows.

We clean when we know people are coming but that dont really take long just dust and vacum. Right now dishes are put awaay my bed not made and might not get made for grand d aughter goes in there to play. and we can clean and have it looking nice then She hits like a tornado and toys every where but I think that is normal for a house that has kids. Just impossible to be white glove clean all the time!

My apartment could use a little attention here and a litle extra there, but it can get a lot worse than it is right now. I scrub for company. Especially, my aunt who will talk about me to my face and behind my back, hehe.

The only time I would ever give my house a thorough cleaning is if my mom announced she was coming over on such and such a day. She's a stickler for clean houses. I swear her's smells like a hospital..that clean! It's a wonder I didn't grow up with clean obsession. My house feels/looks lived in with bed seldom made and an inch of dust on the furniture but it is picked up and kept that way. No papers, blankets, pillows, or other crap on the floor/tables/counters that don't belong there.

I thik it's important to keep a clean home. There's a certain dignity in doing so. It's great when parents or family come by and you don't have to go crazy doing a rush clean up. Still I can't stand doing the dishes. Our dishwasher broke down a few weeks ago and I find piles of dishes accumulating ever more! It seems strange because there are just two living in our home. Also, I don't think anyone should have to clean your house for you! If your family comes by and has to tidy up it's kind of embarassing...

We would pass. With some dishes in the sink. 2 baskets of laundry needing folded in the living room. Maybe the beds not made. But we are usually presentable.

We keep things picked up for sure, such as clothes, toys, and major items. Hmmm...as I look around today, I'd tidy up by putting things back into their places, make my bed, do a quick clean in the bathrooms and kitchen, and dust. We'd probably be set for company. There are weeks that everything gets away from me, but for the most part, I clean as I go (I stay at home full time, so it's easier that way for me) and then if someone stops by, it's not too awfully embarassing..LOL

Depends on the company. My flat is usually not so bad and when some close friend comes over I might not bother about cleaning up, but when it's someone I don't know very well I usually try to clean it up a little bit.

My house is usually messy. We're not in the habit of making our bed, because my husband's work schedule changes so much that it seems like there is always someone in it. A lot of times we have dishes in the sink, too, and magazines in piles around the house. We have a 2 year old, so there is a good chance there are toys in the floor of at least one room at any given time. My house is fairly clean, though. The bathrooms and kitchen are kept clean. The floors are swept and vacuumed regularly.

You can come and if you don't like it you can bring the bulldozer.

My house is usually quite untidy but then we have 2 kids and I cannot really do much around the house and my other half works full time! If people are visiting my house they just have to take us the way they find us! xxx

I keep mine moderately clean. If I knew someone was coming over, I'd go thru and make sure it was straightened. No way is it spotless. Now if I was having overnight guests, I would have to clean.

I'm hanging my head as I say maybe...lol. It has been such a busy week I was mopping the kitchen floor at 2 am last night. I would probably run the vacuum if company was coming by, but that will be fixed in the morning. I finally have a day with no running so I can clean like I should.

My bedroom would most likelly fail, it's not dirty but it's a mess, i even like it like that, i always know where i have my stuff and i surelly won't make it look aknoxam@gmail.comod becuase of what people might think/say because i coudn't care less, putting your stuff back to it's place is for me just a wasy to make it easier for you to remenber where you have your belongings, since i could do it, i see no need for it other than "to look good" and so i don't care :P
