Do you respond to each and every new discussion your friend has started?

If you ask me I've so many friends here on mylot and receive emails regarding new discussions from my friends. I do try hard to give response to the discussions, but get very little time hence it becomes impossible to respond to each discussion. What do you do?Do you respond to each new discussion started by your friends?

You know, I used to respond to all the discussions from my email notifications. I have so much less time here now, I'm just starting at the older discussions today and working my way to the newer ones. I have to do a little more picking and chossing.
I have a hard time responding to the discusions that are quite lengthy and quote a lot of news article info. I simply don't care to read that much I guess. For me, I'm hear for chatting about all kinds of stuff and some days what will appeal won't on others. If I had more time, I think I would be doing a little more heavy thinking and answering more discussions.

I respond to the ones I know something about. I think it is wrong to respond if you have no clue. Just my opinion.

Certainly not. I do read them all as they come through to email, but I don't have something to say to every single one of them. Even my closest friend here (who I know outside of myLot) posts discussions sometimes that I just don't have any response for. Like I said, I do read them all...but I certainly can't respond to each and every one. I don't think anyone could do that realistically...

No I don't try to respond to all of their discussions. There are some I just don't have an opinion on or could offer an intelligent comment. I prefer to answer discussions where I can contribute something. If I don't think I can then I won't respond. It's that simple. So when I get the notices in my email I read through them. If I think I can add something I save them, if not I delete it. Then once I've gone through them for the day I start to reply. Of course I do go to the actual discussion first to read other responses first before I reply, this way I can make sure that I can add more then what has already been stated.

As long as I have something to say about it, I tried to response to all they have started. But, if the topic is not applicable to me, I will just escape from it!

I just respond to discussions that interest me, when I come upon them. It seems there are pages and pages of discussions with no responses, so I mainly try to concentrate on them because I think people deserve a response if I can think of something to write.

No I don't. I don't have that kind of time to spend here. I do my best to post to as many as I can. Not only that, there are times when I just don't have anything to add to the discussion; even if we are friends.

That's one reason I try to keep my friends to ones that I have alot of in common. When I first started I tried to get alot of friends as grew here I've deleted a few and turned off their posts. On my sortie I get alot of info (i feel) on whats going on with me, my friends, my interest, and what my friends are posting. At least that's the way Ido it. Happy Posting tdemex

I don't respond to all the discussions that I received. I choose some that is interesting and those that I can answer.
