My adviser during my fourth year in high school described me as such... are you just like me? How much do you care for others? Are you willing to sacrifice your own life to save some one else's? How genuine is your care for others? Do you like making others happy? Share your story or your views...

ya i think am altruistic as am never jealous on others progress as i believe whatever is theirs can never be mine so why getting jealous . and i always care for others , and whatever i can do to help others i do , if am good at something and someone needs my help i'll surely do it and i never think of my own profit behind it. whether the person will help me or not but when i can i'll surely help him.

congratulations!I believe your one of those few people who truly understands what altruism is... I hope you'd never get tired of the way of life of a genuine altruist because a lot of people need us...

Well drsparkle, I care for others more than my own well being, and it all depends on how much and how far they're willing to go for me as well. In reality, sacrifices are just not made to be given away just like that. It needs to be earned! (^^,)

Yes I am. I always scarifice my life , my money for others.
Sometimes I think I am too much. You just imagine that I make a bank loan just to pay others(my parent, family) debt eventhough I also have housing loan etc. Sometimes I want to runaway from them to avoid form them and hope that they never tell me their problems.

altruism is never about money... but yes it is about giving yourself... sacrificing your life... for the good of many... as an altruist it is still normal to feel like you want to run away from everything... so that you could be happy on your own... for we are still human... so we feel that way... but a true/genuine altruist still chooses to continue to sacrifice no matter what... a genuine altruist feels really good whenever he knows he has made someone happy... but a genuine altruist also knows his limits... he does not do things for others so that they may become very dependent on him instead he does things to teach them well and let them stand on their own two feet eventually...
