Do you have a town clean up in your area?

Today, tomorrow and Sunday is our town clean up. Signs have been posted every where. We have to do it today since we have a wedding tomorrow and a ball game on Sunday. It is that time of year to get rid of all the piled up junk. They have two huge dumpsters in the park and we put metal off to the side and some guys come and pick that up. My family doesn't really like it cause once I start everything goes and everyone is moving.*L* I won't get a lot posted anymore today because I will only be able to come on when we have a short break. My family will be begging for one in a few hours. I have just not gotten my umph to get up and start yet*L* So does your town have one of these days?

Our town has a clean up day , but it is a little different. This is when we can put anything out for the garbage pickup. It is so fun to ride around and see what other people have put out.
You will even see people stopping on the side of the road and picking up other peoples garbage~ it is a great find to them.
One year my teen boys decided to go out and see what people had out. they came home with 8 tv's! None worked, but they knew that they could fix them. Well, they sat in my basement for one year and then were put out with our garbage for clean up.

lol that so sounds like our house. Last year people were doing the same thing yet everyone had to drive by my house to get to town clean up so I had to make everyone come back inside cause they were starting to collect. Yep we too threw it out this year*L*

we have that in our office. we love doing it because seeing the result and the goodness it brings to the community is such a big achievement. i don't mind doing it once a month, if it means having a clean surrounding that would save us from sickness, and living in a beautiful and clean community.

Dont have anything like this that I know of. I wish we did Id fill this dumpster up I have plenty of junk to get rid of. I might have to start making a stink so they will do this in my area.

Whoa. No, we don't do that here. That would be pretty nice. We're not a huge town, so I think it would be feasable....
...but then again the bulk of the population who lives here is over 55 and rich so they wouldn't throw anything away either.
