How much did you spend on your wedding?

I am not engaged yet but planning to be soon. I have watched all these shows showing weddings up in the $25,000 - $50,000 range. I don't have this kind of money nor do I want to spend this much. I was just wondering how much you spent on your wedding, whether $100 or $100,000. Thank you.

We spent about $3,000 including the honeymoon. We were cheap, but I don't think it is necessary to spend a lot on one day. We are just as married as we would have been if we had spent $50,000 and we have a lot more in our savings.

I am engaged, i want to get married but not planning in the immediate future because of financial aspects as well.I think at least here in Europe, 6000-8000 euros i.e. if your spend something like 9000-10000 dollars you may have a descent wedding.I mean not something extreme but enough to have up tp 50 guests etc..etc. I know by experience that things in the states in general are a bit cheaper than here.so you may draw a general conclusion!

Here's an itemized list from our wedding - Engagement ring - $145 (got it at Walmart). Wedding Rings - $70 Wedding - $0 (we got married at the courthouse) Reception (held in my parents backyard) - $100 for food. Wedding night (at a local hotel) $150, plus what we spent on a midnight snack run to the nearby gas station.

You definately don't need to spend that much on a wedding. When my sister got married, she was quoted £7,500. We ended up doing the whole lot ourselves from the invitations to the wedding cake - still had the wedding in the hotel, but managed to reduce it to about £1,000.

I think we spend around $2,000 to $2,500. We had a very nice wedding and reception considering we spent so little. Also, about $800 of that went for a professional video to be made of the wedding and reception. Now that was worth it! We have it as a keepsake forever!

We didn't spend hardly any about 2,000. I mean it was beautiful and simple. We also went on a honeymoon and it was great.

We eloped and did NOT have a honeymoon. We traveled a lot during the time we were dating. :) We spent about $300 or so.

not a heck of a lot. We had a potluck dinner for the reception and it was soooo much fun.
