Do you have a pet name?

My name is Katherine, but I answer to a few others. No, not that one. LOL! For those who don't know me, I am Katherine, for those who do, Kathy and for those who I am very close to, Kat. My ex and my children call me Kathywabucks. I don't know why, its just a name that they came up with and it stuck. It makes me smile everytime I hear it. Does anyone call you by a pet name?

Well, the roomie calls me George from "Which way do we go, George," from Mice to Men. She thought that since the former roomie was always calling my name I might be getting tired of it. I'm called The Alien, because I'm allergic to the planet. Also, for a couple of other reasons. One is a question of my father's paternity - and he was allergic to sunshine and mornings. The other is because my kind of alter ego is an alien. I write the alien in my fiction, but I also identify with him.

Even calling you by your last name, is kind of like having a pet name I suppose.

I've been calling you K, kb, Katherine and now I hope I can call you Kat because it just suits you in my mind for some reason. I've been called a lot of things, so if I have to pick one of them and call it a pet name, I would have to say Blondie. I have red hair. But when my soon to be ex and I were first dating he always called me Blondie. He thought, knowing how I felt about being called "Red" because of my hair, which OBVIOUSLY meant I had a bad temper and was "hot" in bed (YECH!!!!!!!! I HATE THAT STEREOTYPE!), that calling me Blondie was less insulting. Or so he made me think. Turns out he's color blind and thought my strawberry red hair was really blond! LOL Seems no matter what 'pet name' I get, it's never really true! ROFL

I've been called Blondie before also. Never Red though, even when my hair was that color. As for those names that I've been called in bed, I better not repeat them on this site. RFLMAO!

I was raised in a very politely spoken family. After I grew up, I learned all the really 'good' swear words in bed! LOL

Yes, but it is so excruciating that I shan't reveal it here. When My wife and I first started dating she called me "Rambo" because I was fond of saying "Don't push me". The strange thing is, I've never actually seen a Rambo movie! I must have heard the phrase somewhere. My family used to call me Horace - which is not very complimentary and stems from me apparently mumbling when I was small. The whole saying was "What did Horace say". They don't call me that now very often.

Well, I think everyone would have a pet name because most people's name are long so the pet name can speak for short.

My name's Ronak. It means happiness and enlightenment. My family calls me ronu, kittal and my friends call my roxy, bebu... its funny cuz every person I meet comes up with a different name for me, since barely anyone can pronounce my name. I enjoy it though, but sometimes its simply nice to be called my your original name.
