hello, all! i'll get my nikon d70 today, and i'm sooooooo excited. I was wondering...any other users with such a camera? If so, can you post some images? and please specify the lens used. And, also, some tips would be really appreciated. :)
take care!

I have a D80 and I am practicing with the kit lens.
Erm... it is the 18-135mm lens. No VR. Cannot afford one yet. Working towards getting one though!
I cannot wait to get my hands on the 18-200mm VR lens.
So far, took a lot of pictures. But a lot of them are really grainy. Even the ones taken outdoors have the same problems.
I think it has something to do with the settings.
Still learning the ropes on the various settings. Will be experimenting with the different settings the next few week (or months maybe).
Hope to post some decent pictures soon.
Looking forward to see yours.

Ive been looking at the Nikon D40s (and up) for myself but I'm still doing some comparison research (LOL while I save the money to buy a new camera)....Enjoy your new toy!! Happy photo taking!!

i wanted to get a d40 myself...but,let me tell you this. If you find a used but in good condition d70, go with that. It's the same 6mp and 200 minimum ISO but in a more powerful body. +d70 supports autofocus on more lens categories than the d40. And, as price, i think you might find a used d70 pricing as much as a new d40.

I have a Nikon D70!!! In fact, the photo I have set as my user icon here on MyLot (the one of the swan) is a photo I took using my D70!
If you'd like to see more photos I've taken with my D70, you can view my website gallery at http://lindsaydean.com/gallery.html
Most of those photos were taken with a D70, however a few of them were taken with point and shoot cameras and one or two of them were taken with a film camera.
The lens I used for most of them is a Sigma 28-300mm. The one I took of the speed limit sign, I used a Nikkor 10.5mm fisheye. And the one I took of the moon, I used a 1000mm telescope attached to my camera using a T-mount adapter.
