When I got pregnant with my son, I changed right away! I got pregnant on my honeymoon, and when we got back to my parents' house, within two days, my sister told my husband "Congratulations, Daddy!" My husband is in the Air Force and is stationed 1100 miles from where we are both from. We were home (staying with my parents) for almost a week after the wedding, before we moved all my stuff up here. I decided during that time that I wasn't going to move up here, and cried everyday. Once we got up here, I still cried about a lot of stuff, but my husband and I were both just chalking it up to being emotional because I was so far from my family. My husband bought an HPT one day on his lunch break, though, and brought it home. I was pregnant. When I went to the doctor a week and a half later, I was 8 weeks, 1 day along. Because my cycles have always been so irregular, I still wasn't technically late when we found out I was pregnant. It's not uncommon for my cycles to be 7 or 8 weeks apart.

Well, somehow I just KNEW I was pregnant from about the week after conception. Something just felt different. I couldn't explain it and my friends thought I was crazy. They all told me to forget about it. My eating habits changed though, and I started craving ginger ale all of a sudden. Weird... Anyway, I guess the first real SIGN was that I got a urinary tract infection about 3 months in. I was still having periods up to that point, so I went to the doctor for the UTI (which I had never had before) and they asked me if it might be possible that I was pregnant. I said sure, it was *possible* and they did a pregnancy test. It was positive. It wasn't until after that that I started getting morning sickness.

Well, I knew I was pregnant, but a pregnancy test wouldn't confirm it because it was so early and everyone kept telling me I was crazy and didn't know what I was talking about. Because of that, I forgot about it until I got the UTI and then after that I really knew and started to prepare.

before my first child, i wasn't all too aware of my periods no my bf (husband now) noticed i didn't have a period for a while and he suspected something. MY first clue was feeling the morning sickness while in church. then the rest of the day i left really bad. the next day i took the test and whatyaknow I was pregnant and my bf was ecstatic! as soon as he saw me he hugged my stomach.

I guess it is kind of sweet. He had known before me anyway. I just felt slightly insulted since I had just traveled 30min on a bus, in the morning and nearly vomited in his neighbors yard, so I was like..."hey, i'm up here, hug me"
but he's always happy to get me pregnant. He had already proposed to me and we were already planning on getting married. so he had no right to even question the child. you can say he wanted it more then i did.

I did not have any symptom of pregnancy..I just missed my periods. That's it.. When I checked the gyno ater 5 days of missed periods, she said that she can confirm my pregnancy only after 15 more days..But still I did not have any symptom..It was only after the confirmation that I had little nausea. But I did not suffer that much..My friends were even envying at me. I had a normal life even during the first trimester. Now having a hyperactive toddler, I feel that my pregnancy was so easier than the parenting..But those days will never be back.

Hey Smilyn,
Thanks for your response. I am also envying you right now. I want to be like you when I start getting children. A care free pregnancy is what am dreaming of. You are a lucky girl I must say because i have seen many women suffer in the first trimester.

It was the same for me too. I just woke up on Christmas Eve morning and knew something was different and it dawned on me to take a test and sure enough I was pregnant. I had no tell tale signs or a missed period to tip me off. What a great Christmas present.

Before my pregnancy I wasn't very regular, so i wasn't even sure I was missing a period. I never had dizziness or nausea (all over the pregnancy)
I felt strange, I looked like glowing, you know, I looked so beautiful! I had cravings, just as in cartoons, I needed to eat things with orange color!
Once I clearly had the vision of pork chops in orange juice gravy, I dont usually eat pork chops, but I had to have them!
So I had to put the vision of the pork chops away, went to supermarket and prepared them with orange juice of course and then wham! I kindo thought, I think I'm pregnant, so next day bought the kit and I was right!
My only pregnancy maladie were craving for food in orange color: carrots, squash, oranges, red big juicy steaks, tomatoes...
After the first trimester my pregnancy was a bliss!

wow! That was so wonderful. Craving for only colour orange and a blissful pregnancy! Thats what I could also wish to have when I start getting kids. I have fallen in love with your kind of pregnancy signs. Some people get problems like puking and nausea when pregnancy you may even pitty them and feel like not undergoing the same. I love your story my friend.
Thanks alot for sharing with us.

During my second pregnancy I had a huge thing for pork chops. I never ate meat before that, I hated the taste of it. I starting eating pork because I was forced to because of my iron and I ate it almost every other day for months.

what’s up Kwenge…getting any signs yourself…is the stork on its way???
Frankly speaking I was not aware at all that I was pregnant, did not know it even when I missed my periods the first month. Just thought irregular timings. But by the second month I was worried and took the test and tested positive, that’s it.

I found out I was pregnant at about 5 weeks. It was really early and I hadn't even skipped a period yet. I was on a plane to Iowa to visit my family and I just had this moment where I thought "I'm pregnant". I can't explain why or how I felt that way, but it was there. I stopped at Walmart on the way to my mom's house and got a test. Sure enough, it was positive. I don't know if I was just really in tune with my body or what. I wasn't expecting my period for several days. I just..felt pregnant.

My first sign was dizziness and being so cranky..and my period was late. So I figured I must be pregnant. Bought a pregnancy test kit and I'm so right - I was pregnant. I didn't have any nausea in the morning or at any time of the day. I just couldn't eat as much, not that I'd puke but I can't stand the taste of any food..

I always seemed to know just before my period was due. And my doctor always seemed to think I must be a month further along than I was. I just always knew early and never had morning sickness or nausea or any real cravings.
I know, I know I was unbelievably lucky. LOL

On the last two before I even realized that I was late I noticed my hair having a red tint and I had this mark show up on the side of my forehead. Then I knew. Not really sure why those things happened to me when I was pregnant but they always did. I remember being at work and saying to a gal. Dang my hair really looks red today then I gasped and went oh my gosh I am pregnant. She looked at me as if I were crazy and so I ran out at lunch and got a test and sure enough I was. I think every woman is different as to the signs she has.

A red tint hehehe, if i was your workmate I would have thought you were crazy. Not only every is different in signs but also every pregnancy has a different sign. Am not talking through experience though. Thanks for your response. I like your pregnancy signs because they are not complicated.

My first pregnancy I kind of new before I could even take a test. We weren't trying but I felt absolutely fatigued and bloated. I just had a feeling. My second pregnancy was not planned either (yes I was on birth control). With him, I had no idea until I was late. All of the sudden I realized that I was late and took a test. I wasn't surprised that I was pregnant, but I did not feel anything prior either.

I've never been late for my period in my life.
So, when I was late once, I knew then or at least
suspected that I was pregnant.
I confirmed the pregnancy after four days of
waiting with two home pregnancy tests.
They said to allow the results to form in
five minutes.
But, the results showed within ten seconds.
I was VERY pregnant!
My daughter joined our family just about
nine months later. And, I've never been happier
in my life!
Blessings.
And, thank you for the lovely discussion.

The very next day I was throwing up! You might think this is impossible but I had 5 kids and I always knew the next day after conception I was pregnant.

For my first pregnancy, my periods were always way out of whack, so I could never rely on that. I was on the pill however, but it never regulated it by any means. So I actually had no idea I was pregnant at all, I had no signs whatsoever at least to me. I was already through my first trimester when I randomly took a pregnancy test one day because it had been "too long" since I had a period. I also worked a few jobs at that time and went to college, so if I was ever overtired or anything like that, I probably would of never noticed.
For my second pregnancy, there wasn't really any signs either. I only had one major one: I made this crab salad recipe over and over and over again every day for every meal for a few weeks straight. My friend came over one day and told me that I had a serious food craving and I should take a pregnancy test. So I did, and it was negative! By that time I was getting curious, I then started to have a junior mint craving along with my crab salad. A week later I took another test and it was positive ... I was already a little over 2 months! So just remember pregnancy tests can be a false negative!!
Never had any morning sickness or nausea with either of my pregnancies, except a little nausea here and there with my second, but nothing major.
