OK, so it is a different kind of adventure than one might think. I'm not going white water rafting or anything. : ) Some of you may remember me talking about how all of a sudden my rent was more than doubled. I filed an appeal (I'm on housing) and have yet to hear from them. I'll be contacting a representive or two from my state if they deny my appeal. But July 1st is when my higher rent goes into affect.
Well today I found out that my insurance will not pay for a certain medication of mine anymore. They have done this before. After so many months they want the doctor to contact them to justify me being on that certain medication. It doesn't happen all the time, just occasionally. Well, I didn't know this would happen when I tried to refill it. So I had to purchase 5 of the pills because that was all I could afford. I need to contact my doctor Monday and have him work this out with the insurance, just like he has done before. But he won't be in his office until Tuesday. And this is the one medication that would be a disaster for me to not take.
So guess what? I'm looking forward to how this turns out! I'm giving it to the Lord, and can't wait to see how He works it out. Now I'm not going to just say OK, God, handle it. I'm going to do my part to get things moving, but I've decided I'm going to look at this as an adventure. It's going to be fun to see how everything comes together.
Have any of you ever felt like you needed to make an adventure about lif'es problems, big and small?

You are obviously a better person than I am. When it come to medical and legal stuff...I have no patience.

I used to not either. It drove me nuts, and would get me all upset inside. So I had to change my attitude or it was going to make me sicker. Sometimes it is maddening that a person can do everything right, yet someone on the other end isn't doing much right at all.

That's awesome in the fact that you are giving it to God and let him take control. You should see mighty things happen through this. Because that is what he wants from us is to put our Faith and Trust in him to lead the way. Your also correct in that you have to do your part. What an awesome testimony you will have to share with others as well.
Just Tuesday morning, I told God of the situation with my daughter that has a drinking problem and told him it was in His hands. No sooner did I do that, I logged onto myLot and she had posted a discussion about MY PROBLEM and she claimed it that she did have a drinking problem and that she has decided to put it down. Now is that an awesome God. All I had to do was turn it over and let him have control.
So keep your faith and remember that God doesn't take us to anything that he will not bring us through!

Pam, how you look at things sometimes makes all the difference. I will trust with you that this will work out, or that even better housing comes up for you. I often have adventures if I make a wrong turn in travelling, and yes, I am on some adventures similar to yours right now. Attitude is a lot of the matter in stress. God bless.

You're doing the right thing by giving it to God. Its amazing to sit back and watch Him work. Well God works through people often so I have a few suggestions that you could try. I take Zyrtec and before it came out otc and in generic it was pretty high. I went to Zyrtec's website and signed up and they sent me forms to fill out for rebates. I got about $10 back for each prescription. Also you could ask your doctor about giving you samples.

That's a good idea about the rebates, I should look into the different companies that make my prescriptions. But as for the samples, my doctor won't give me any. The clinic he is in banned giving samples out about a year ago. I really don't know why, I've never heard of that before.

Oh yes. Life is nothing but a daily adventure for me. I always have tons of things like this to deal with also. I hate it and it drives me crazy trying to take care of all of these things all at once but somehow I manage to do it with god's help and the strength that he gives me to do it. I do not understand why life has to be so hard though when I try to make it easier and better. I work seven days per week to help my family make it through life. I do not deserve some of these punishements and frustrations at all. I hope you get all of your things worked out. I will be waiting to hear how the adventure goes. Good luck. I hope you do not get alot of stress from it.

Somehow I think you would prefer an adventure where you have some choosing over what it will be. I can appreciate your attitude and will be praying that every thing works out well for you. Insurance companies!
They couldn't have given you some advanced notice? I think I would being giving someone a call and giving them a piece of my mind. Wow!

my goodness woman, that is so much to bear,
here we have rent control, the landlord raised my rent by 12, and it should have been less but I didn't complain, it cost more to move then worry about 12 a month.
I am on disability and I make very little money, I have to rely on my writing to pull me through, and of course Jesus!

Oh, AmbiePam! You have the right idea! That is how we need to face each obstacle or challenge that we are faced with. You have turned it over to God and have stepped out of His way so He can do His work! So many times we get in God's way and He cannot do His work. Way to go and I am so anxious to know how He worked it all our! God bless you!

Not so much myself but my daughter just did. She did not renew her contract with the school district she was teaching in because she wanted to leave herself open for a new opportunity should it arise...but when I got to Arizona I could see she was stressed. They have just built a new home and have two teens to raise so I don't have to say anything about the grocery bill. My granddaughter and I were scrapbooking and my daughter is not interested so she sat in the same room with us and got on the computer. She was checking for jobs in the town where they live (she was driving 80 miles a day for her other job) and saw something on line. So she applied. In three years an online application has never worked for her....well the next morning they called...by two she had an interview and by four they offered her the job...that's when I really saw how stressed she was a she just broke down crying! She said....it was God's will......so I am sure he will take care of you too! Good Luck Amber!

Every problem life has thrown at me has been an adventure. Even when I have hit rock bottom and wanted to roll over and forget the world existed, I have forced myself to come up with the solutions and worked hard towards a resolution.
I have turned negative experiences into positives, because when I've come through the other side, I have always found more strength and more about myself and what I really am capable of.
Good luck with your adventure.

yes I do feel that at the moment, so many little things are going wrong at the moment and a few bigger things as well thrown in for good measure.
I think I will follow your approach and see what happens instead of worrying about everything
Good Luck lets us all know how you get on

I have been miserable with shingles but just a day
or so ago decided to work with God and see if
I could make it more of an adventure . It has
helped me to deal a lot with the pain to the
point where I do not need to take more pain
pills now and can enjoy myself just mylotting.

i did make one hell of an adventure with one of my problems before, its personal so i cant say what was the problem, it was pressing and i realy need to act on it, and i dont like deciding on things abruptly, with the short time that i have i made the best decision that i can think off, leave, lol, i dont know how to elaborate on this without telling what the problem was, so im just gonna leave this comment like this
