I meant the "traveling" part in travel...the joy ride...
Whenever we go somewhere, (out of town trips) I always look forward to the journey itself. I don't know why but I enjoy the journey...I love seeing the tress pass by or seeing the scenery change every hour...I just love it...Anyone who's like me?
But of course the destination itself is also important and what I also look forward too..hehe :)

I have spent many years traveling. Yes, I actually enjoy the road trip. My favorite trips, other than vacation were the trips to different colleges. My daughter and sometimes her youngest brother would join in the fun. We would get a hotel or stay on campus, what a blast. We always had to check out the local town.
I just took a trip with a friend, it was only about 160 miles away. She never.. never leaves town. As we left she handed me the keys and offered to let me drive, because I am always goin. I refused and suggested she drive.
She did very well. We entered the address we were headed to in the GPS and I explained to her how it works. During the trip, out in the middle of nowhere- she states how besutiful the trees and open land is. She actually gets excited when she notices a deer or two. When she saw a speed limit sign that posted 70 MPH she was surprised! I laughed!
We reached our destination and on the way back the trip seemed shorter, it always does. This was her first trip away with no kids, that gave her the opportunity to enjoy the ride and scenery.

I would like to share a like of this with you. A couple years ago. I decided to travel from the west coast to the east.
I left Denver 7 p.m Sunday and arrived in Baltimore about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. That was an extremely long trip. The Monday night they said they were scheduled to travelled to 12 states that particular night. Monday I enjoyed it when I was able to sit upfront and conversate with others and view the scenery; that was nice, but I did not enjoyed the night ride, it got too hectic.

I like to travel with my husband, as then no one interrupts, no television, computer or phone. we get to talk and just be together, and share the nice scenery. I do like to get out and stretch as often as possible as well.
