When at the gym do you prefer to do a full or split body part workout and why? I do a split workout over 3 days a week (mon, wed, fri) allowing time for recovery and better gains. Is this the best way to do it?

Splitting up your workouts is a lot more effective. As you said giving your body rest in between in key.
If you try and do an all over body workout every time you hit the gym you cant get maximum efficiency out of your workout because you will be pushing it too hard.
splitting up into different muscle groups is the best idea, back and biceps, chest and triceps, legs, etc. This way you can work each group till exhaustion and then have a week to recover before hitting it again.

Its been quite a lot of time now that i ve left gym
But wen i had it on a regular..I used to go for a single body part on each weekday..Mon-Fri
Sat used to be for the Legs that i hated the most..Those were the worst exercises:(
N Sunday was for rest..Thats basically the rest body really needs.
I guess such a schedule is quite a good one..99% ppl followed the same type of schedule at my gym n the trainers too suggested the same.
Happy Gymming:)
