Wildest Guess Wanted: Why is myLot named myLot?

Umm maybe the founder could have a girlfriend (or was he a guy?, anyway let us just assume that he is a guy, sorry doesnt have any idea as to his/her gender, for the sake of this post, I would just assume he's a guy) that he loveddd a LOT and whose named happened to sound like LOT say Loiuse, or maybe Lottice, who lived in a far away land called LOTSVille. To sum it all he came up with a "mylot" idea.

i think it is named after lot as in a piece of land where lots of people can live together to form one community. and as a community, we respond to each other's problems, topics, and issues.

oh hehe...that is a funny question i have never really thought about it. anyway, my guess is that mylot is my lot in life...or something like that. it is something personal for people and they post their lives online...something to do with anonymity i guess. that is why it is very successful. and it never fails to pay. lol good day and God bless you richie!

Wildest guess huh? Hmmm, let me try... I think it is because most people think that mylot pertains to a property that's theirs. So, usually they would say "that's my lot", or "it's my lot". But it could be broken down to "that smiles a lot" and "smile lot". So they named it mylot to sway people that they could earn their properties here, but in reality, it is actually just a site to have fun. Is this wild, or just stupid? hehe.

In my dream Lot was a guy not a lady and it did not say anything about a site. I am still sleeping a lot these days hoping to find in a dream the true source of this mysterious site called mylot. Cheers!!

It might be named after myspace? I don't think so. Maybe, we have a lot more to know or he might want to explain a lot here?

that was a funny guess, but why is the sky blue? we never think about that, I am joking, I am not sure, usually domain names are chose for be easy remember, you know if the name was too long or with no sense words, it would be hard to remember, I think they try to keep it short and easy to remember, just two words that everyone would remember, I think that domain name mylot must to cost million's of dollar, you know some domain name have been sold per 10 millions of dollar, including one with the word "poker" so you can imagine how much cost this domain name without the whole web site.

Maybe it's like Plot, like you know the place where they bury a person when they die. That could be it. I liked your explanation better, though. Very creative and inventive. Thanks for the chuckle. Is that a true story? I am a big believer in dreams. Mine are always subject to interpretation and I always talk to the wrong people and get the wrong answers!

isn't a lot a name for a group? I think that is probably why, or maybe it like a parking lot where everyone parks on this site and answers everyone's questions. I am not really sure, interesting discussion though.

i won't be able to give the wildest guess, i can only tell what i first thought when i saw the site. it's my"space". that's right i really once thought this was like a networking site such as friendster and well, myspace.^_^

hmmm... not bad. mine is because "lot" also stands for "space". so myLot means, mySpace. a space where you can create your profile, discussions, or just say anything about you.

Hmmm, maybe there will be a "lot" of discussions. Or maybe he feels it's his "lot in life"?

the founder wanted something that made it personal and at the same time make money and discuss life's. my is person. lot is people, money and site.
