Do you like eating alone when you go out?

I don't like eating alone either. But in my job, road warrior, I fly alot all around the USA, and live in Mexico. I'm normally by myself and forced to eat alone either in my room or the place where I get the food. At home we have a big family and we usually eat together. I'm a white american and my Mexican family loves when I cook! Thanks! tdemex

hey there walijo, i guess i must differ with you when it comes to shopping alone.i prefer company.but not just anybody.i dont like people who try to tell me what to buy or not to buy a certain item because its too expensive you know? honestly, i must confess that whoever goes with me has to have a lot of patience caz i'm a bit indecisive at times.cant make up my mind as to what to purchase,especially clothes! anyhow addressing the original question, i must agree with you.i feel totally uncomfortable eating alone.i too feel as if everyone is looking at me.i always avoid those situations.i prefer ordering food to go..and here i thought i was the only one!!lol

I don't like eating alone, period. I overeat when I am by myself. I have a small fear of being alone, so eating out in public wouldn't go at all for me. I am self conscious when I eat anyways. I always think someone could be staring. It isn't a big problem yet, but I think I have gotten a handle on it.

I don't like eating alone. It will make the dishes out of delicious for me. Sometimes I have a special feeling that someone looks pity when he eating alone in a restaurant. I enjoy eating out with my friends.

I hate to go out and eat alone at a restaurant. I just feel so bored and lonely because I have noone to converse with. I've done it a few times during my lunch hour but the only time it has ever been ok with me is if I'm finishing up a work project or have a good book I'm trying to finish reading. But in general, I enjoy a dining mate.

LOL, do I like living my life alone? That is cool. If I am out alone, then I have to eat alone. If I am with someone, I may eat with that someone. If I am out alone and want to have company, I will try to get company. Chances are that I will end up sucking thumb and being alone. Friends. That's what friends are about. Generally they are not there when you need them.

I dont want to eat alone outside because I feel so boring,I need someone to talk while eating,my sister and I love to eat, during weekend we always eat in the mall after that we watch movie,and I realized that being alone makes me crazy I cant live without friends and family.

I also eat alone. Its just that I do not sit there and eat. I grab what I have to eat and head out. i love eating out in the open. Although I don't eat at restaurants. I like road side open cafes. Even If I had to eat out alone, I would without any problem because I like being alone. "I'm hungry and I'm eating." I like eating alone... Most times I don't get to do that because of my daughter or girl-friend... I love eating with them too but more often then not, I prefer eating alone... When I go to get something to eat on my lunch break at work, sometimes coworkers will as me if I wanna do lunch with them... I tell them I'd rather eat alone, in a nice way... I don't think I'm a loner but somethings I like doing alone & eating is one of them...

I hate eating alone.....makes me feel ever so lonely..rather go without a meal...i am a people's person,so would love to eat in the company of my spouse or friends..

Don't worry, I don't think that you are wierd. I don't like to eat alone as well. Not just in restaurants, for me it is the same when eating at home. At least there has to sit someone together with me at the table, otherwise I don't have any appetite.

If someone offer company,i would like to accept.I think it is not strange to see a person eating alone and shopping alone.you needn't think a lot.Just be yourself and enjoy your own shopping and eating.Have fun!

LOL ^_^ I dun shop alone, and so i definitley wun eat alone too.. It's just so weird and funny when i'm eating, ple will be looking at me.. ANd when i'm alone, i will tend to look around while waiting for my food, but when i'm with fren, i will be talking to them and wun be looking around.. hehe ^_^ And so when being alone, we tend to be more observant about things around us and thus makes me even more uncomfortable.. haha ^_^ In the end, i will just finish my meal quickly and leave the place.. hehe

Sometimes I like to go out to eat all by my self. I have two children so going out to eat with them and going alone is alot different! I sometimes enjoy just going out to eat by myself and enjoying the peace and quiet.

I never ever do in fact I go eat by myself alot during lunch at work. I dont need someone to hold my hand. Sure it would be nice to have someone to eat with but its not a must. Try not to worry bout what others think:)

hello, no, I don't like eating alone. It's pretty lonely though sometimes I also felt like what you think and feel, but for me it's more sad and lonely eating alone. There were no one to talk to, well, for me, I'll appreciate more if I had some company while eating. It's kinda sad eating alone.

I like shopping with others, because I can always ask their decision on things that I want to buy. My daugther and I use to ejoy shopping, especially when we would go to the thrift stores and the others. We'd spend hours just looking at about everything in the stores. Just us gals. lol

It's nothing wrong or weird about eating alone, go shopping alone or even to the cinema. Who care what others might think. Yes, it's much more fun to have company and not something "glamour or hip" thing that you must have someone to have fun with. I usually do on my own when my friends are not available and when I'm alone, I would like to enjoy the experience still. I certainly would like to enjoy my food and care less what others might think and spoil my meal. And I always try to engage a conversation with someone new and learn something along the way. At times, I think I appreciate the little things more when I am on my own. I prefer to do shopping alone and not with my friends if I could, no offense intended to my friends...lol
