How old is too old for shorts

I've been having an interesting discussion with a close friend. She said that past the age of 50 it doesn't look good for women to wear shorts, that the capri length is more attractive. I've been disagreeing with her, because I think it depends upon the person and how their legs look. We aren't talking about the real short shorts, we are talking about regular walking shorts. I like wearing capri's but when it is real hot I like to wear shorts. What are your thoughts?
