How often does this happen to you? Does it happen at all? I just went out and bought stuff to make dinner, plus a few other things. I was just about to start dinner and I realized I was out of a spice mix that is vital to the dish. I don't want to go back to the store, but I don't have anything here to make something different.

Since I have to get a ride to the store or send someone I always double check my list to make sure that I have everything. If I sometimes am rushed and forget something, I just wait till someone is going and have them pick it up. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND TRUST IN GOD**

Oh, this is continuously happening to me! And, it's invariably on a day when I have guests coming in for dinner! Sometimes, I just go right back to the grocery store to pick it up, if there's time. The store from where I usually pick up my groceries is about 3 kms away. If I'm too stretched for time, I go to a nearby store to pick it up and mostly I wouldn't find it stocked there. if my hubby's around and willing I send him. If none of these options work, I either use a substitute or carry on without it. If the ingredient is absolutely necessary and I don't have it, I don't cook the dish and make something else, though with much reluctance

Too many times to count. Matter of fact, it happened to me today. Luckily, I live next door to my mom and there's a store right up the road. But I still hate it when it happens.

I find it is best for me to make a list. When I make a list then I do not forget the things I need. Sometimes if what I need is not at home I will improvise. This works sometimes and other times it does not.

Sometimes, the memory just slipped. I have no choice but to make another trip. Not that I like it, I was "ordered" to do so. If I am the one cooking, I would forget about it. LOL.

Yes, constantly, I can't tell you how many times I've gone to the store and forgotten the main ingredient I was after. I almost did it last night. I was going to make a fruit tart and it called for two containers of vanilla yogurt, I was in the checkout line before I remembered the yougurt and had to run around the store again.

I do that quite often in fact. I keep telling myself I'm going to make a list before I go to the grocery but rarely do I ever do it. Sometimes its the main ingredient of a dish I forget, like ground beef for spaghetti, lol.

I have more then once did the same thing. Went to a store for something that was very important and that I needed and then get back home and remembered it. Like today it was laundry detergent.

I have gone to the store and come home only to discover that some items were apparently left out of the bags. That is annoying. I also think that we all have forgotten items. I remember a couple of times going to the store for a specific thing only to get other things and forget the one I went to get!

Oh honey I do this all the time honey! lol We usually go for a big weekly shop and I ALWAYS forget something I need! Luckily my other half pops to the store most days for those things you need to get fresh such as bread and milk and even if he isn't when I have forgotten something I usually make him think he had to go to the shop anyway! lol xxx

Actually no. This never happens to me. I always take a list of the important things that I need so that I won't forget. It is 26 miles to the store from where I live so, I have to always be really careful to add things to the list. However, sometimes my kids run out of the things that only they eat, like their snacks, and they forget to put them on the list. They hate when they forget because I only shop every two weeks. LOL

Hi miamilady! Oh, it does happen to me most of the time that is why before I go out shopping, I go over my cupboard and list down all that I need. But to be hones with you, there is always this one thing that will still be forgotten. haha.. Take Care and Have a beautiful day! God Bless you my friend.

All the time lol. I have often gone to the store for a certain item and gotten a lot of other things that we needed, and still came home without what I went out for in the first place!!!! My head will never save my feet!!!

This happens to me ALL the time. I know that I should make out a grocery list, but I never do. So I'm always forgetting things. Just now, my husband left for the grocery store and I was naming off some things I needed, and of course I forgot to tell him bread. Which means I'll have to pack up 2 kids in the morning and get bread. Last week, we got all the ingredients to make tacos, and I forgot the seasoning mix. I always have to run back to the store, and I hate doing that!
