The last night I was at my daughters we did a three course fondue. The first course was two different kinds of break and red and green peppers in two different kinds of cheese and wine sauces. The second course was meats...pork beef and chicken..."jerk" as it was called and also lemon chicken and another pork marinated in a sauce. The third course was dessert. A turtle sauce of chocolate and carmel with pecans in it....we dipped angel food cake marshmellows ....rice krispie bars....brownines..banana's and strawberries. It was awesome and very relaxing. Have you fondued lately? My girls did it as they remembered us doing it when they grew up! If you do fondue what is your favorite thing to cook?

I have never had Fondue before, but it has always sounded good to me. The meal that your daughters made sounds wonderful.

That sounds like a lot of fun and good eating. The last fondue type things made around here was some type of cheese for a dip with chips.

Yum! There used to be a fondue place an hour away from my house. I was so sad when it closed! I like the rice krispie treats dipped in chocolate fondue! To die for!

Yum, yum I love fondue. There was a restaurant in our town that was famous for it's various fondue dinners. My husband and I used to go there every year for our anniversary. When my daugher was old enough we had her birthday parties there for a small group of her friends. Of course it was chocolate fondue with bananas, strawberries, kiwi, pound cake, pineapple, apples and pears. OMG so good! A few years ago the restaurant burned down. Since then I have been making fondue dinners at home. We like to do a cheese fondue and a peanut oil fondue (peanut oil does not splatter very much). For the cheese fondue we like mushrooms, apples, and french bread. For the oil fondue we like bite size steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops, and meatballs. We create about 4 different dipping sauces so we have a variety...like a cocktail sauce, butter sauce, teriyaki, etc. So, So good. It is a fun dinner to have with friends and for our family fondue dinners are a tradition.
