Hello kilimanjaro80, You have a very low post count (48) but still manage to get responses, which would mean that you have potential of getting many responses. When I started here, I had a discussion which never got a single response until it was 4 months old already. Others got few responses but there was one that got over 50 responses in the start. There are basically two things that help, make it three. 1. Easier, catchy and more generic or controversial discussion titles appears to get much more responses than philosophy, history or general personal problems and such, there can be exceptions though. Like "do you wear digital or analogue wrist watch?" will most probably get many more responses than, say, " how eternal return differ from eternal life?". 2. People who have lots of people on their friends' lists tend to get higher number of responses which is quite understandable as their discussions get more exposure. 3. If you first try to develop a link or bond with other members, you will have more chances of getting higher number of responses. That you can do by responding positively to many of others' discussions. Many people go to their responders profiles to check if they can respond to some of their discussions. One user also mentioned another important thing that is adding tags. It helps your discussion get listed in similar discussions board thus giving it more exposure. Maximum number of responses that I personally got are 83 till date. I, personally, don't feel easy getting many responses though. I wish you best of luck!:-)

I have got a few best responses in my day but I do not think it really does add anything to your earnings. I have a lot of unresolved discussions because it is so hard choosing the best response so I leave it as it is. I think a lot of people here at mylot are doing the same thing of not awarding best responses because of how difficult it is.

I think my record is somewhere in the 60+ area. Can't seem to get any higher than that. Then again, you should see my discussions and you may get a clue as to why the response counts don't get that high. Kilimanjaro you should focus on responding to other peoples topics so you get your name "out there" in the mylot community. Also try responding to other comments in discussion when it suits you, that also gains attention. It'll take time, but you'll reach a point where you can clear page 1 with your discussions.
