Getting to know you

Hi Dawn! Ok, here are my facts: 1. I am the mother of two children, a girl and a boy, 27 and 23 1/2, both are college graduates. 2. I live in Northern California about and hour and a half from Lake Tahoe. 3. I have been married for 30 years. 4. I have a 10 year old Shih Tzu named Honey. 5. My son is getting married in August so hopefully I will get a grandchild in the next year or so! 6. I love jogging, mountain biking and lake kayaking. 7. I will be 54 in August(50's are the new 40's? Ha!) 8. I have 2 nieces who are sisters and each has a set of twins. 1 set are fraternal and the other set are identical!

Feed a pet is the thing I always want to do,espcially feed a dog. I both like purple and yellow. Staying at home ,listen the song of Bandari meanwhile reading a book is my favorite.

This is a neat idea Dawn!! 1. I love cats also! 2. I live in Leighton, Alabama. 3. I have been married for 24 years. 4. I have two children, ages 21 and 15, my son has autism also. 5. I enjoy reading also. 6. I am an indoor person, I love to read a book or watch TV if I don't have any work to do or spend time on the computer. 7. I am a Christian.

Thanks for sharing about yourself here. It takes a special mother to have a child with autism because they take a lot of your energy trying to figure out what works for them. I've also noticed that it tends to be more boys that have autism than girls. I don't know if there is any fact to that or not, but that has been my observation.

1. I love cats. Always have. My two are 22 and 8. 2. I am an only child. I was an only grandchild for 10 years. I've always envied people with siblings and cousins they grew up with. 3. I was 50 in 2004 and, yes, it is! 4. I like greens and purples or lavenders. 5. I have 130 college credits, but no degree - not even Associates. 6. I have two grown children, boy and girl, ages 27 and 22. I lost three in between them. 7. My maternal grandparents were born in the 19th century. My grandfather, born January 1889, was named after the President who took office that month. 8. I have three grandchildren by my son. Two boys, one girl. They are 8, 6 and 4. They live 2300 miles away in Utah. 9. I love to read (especially cat sleuth mysteries) and have found some wonderful books I never expected in Dollar Tree and the Goodwill. 10. The most amazing person I know is my mother who is 91, has lost her sight to macular degeneration, has had emphysema for over 12 years, has bad knees and herniated discs, and STILL makes her own bed, coffee and breakfast, runs the vacuum, mops the floor, washes dishes (OK - there is the occasional re-wash) and who has a love for life I can only hope to have!

Okay, here's ten completely useless factoids about me: 1. I was born and bred in the North-East of England; 2. My brother says I love animals so much it's scary; 3. At the moment I have one dog and one hamster. Can't afford any more pets; 4. I'm really into photography, and am thinking of doing a college course starting in September; 5. My favourite colours are pink, purple and blue. I hated pink through my teens; 6. I had to quit dancing when I was twelve due to a medical problem and I regret it every day; 7. I have one niece and one nephew. I love them to bits but they're very trying; 8. At the moment I am unemployed. "On the sick" to be exact; 9. I'm allergic to oil pastels! 10. I suffer from a social anxiety disorder and was severely agoraphobic before my dog came along and saved me

I like cats and dogs but cannot have pets as I livein an apartment. My favorite colors are mauves and blues and'blue green, I like to watch the clouds and listen to the birds 'sing.
