Here in the Philippines, we will be having a long weekend because monday is holiday, it is our Independence Day celebration (well, it should be June 12 but the government says its better to put it on a monday so employees can have a longer vacation.)
So what would i do this weekend? My girlfriend wants to buy dress and corporate attires for her new job. we will be going to the mall on saturday. We will be looking very hard, even spending the whole day looking for her stuff. On sunday, which we have considered a family day, we will just stay at home, watch some tv, and go to church in the afternoon. On monday, we would go to her relatives house, just chat a little, eat more and watch tv there. That's all. not a busy weekend really.

On long weekends, sometimes we just rest, other times use it to catch up on home projects, and now and then take a holiday away from home.
Other times we have friends and family come out to visit.

well usually if we can sleep then we would do that, and then of course, spend as much time on the internet as possible. other than that spend a day with my kids and then hoping that someone would want to take my kids so I could clean my house in a day.

I usually spend the whole week with my family. We do household chores in the morning, cleaning the house, washing clothes, cooking and all that "boredom endless routinely chores". In the afternoon, do some games in our pcs, surfing the web, blogging, making money online. During the evening we spend a dinner and movies would be the next then sleep. These activities are usually done the next day. Sometimes, though we visit few friends and relatives.

My weekends are made full use by me.On Saturday earlier morning,I pray for MOTHERLAND and friends and myself for more than one hour.Going to library is what I always want to do in the later morning. On the afternoon,I teach five pupils English. As to the later afternoon,I go to my foreign teather JIM'house with some friends for chatting.
On Sunday,I go to church in the morning. The afternoon will be free time,I do things at ease.Maybe climb the mountain or do some sport.
Once we are busy,we complian that there is no entertainment;but when we are free ,we may fell have nothing to do.Everbody should cherish lifetime to do things he or she loves.

You have a very busy weekend. I agree with you that when we are busy, we complain for being so, and when we do nothing, we would want to do something. I think it is just about balancing these two. At weekends I want to sleep so I can rejuvinate my energy. I love sleeping. But I also get tired of sleeping sometimes, which proves your point.

Hi Richiem, we have no special plan come this long weekend. We'll probably just stay home do some chores and after that the usual quality family time. Maybe will treat the kids to the mall or something. I remember when we are kids our parent would bring us to Rizal Park on Independence Day to see a grandiose parade of bands and fireworks display at night. These days we couldn't feel the need to celebrate.

I always just love being at home at long weekends. I hate going anywhere at the weekens if I can avoided it cause it just too crowd of people everywhere. Malls, movie theaters, restaurants, you ame it, it will be full. And I hate to do a long waiting line just for eating or buying some things. I prefer to do my shopping at Monday or Tuesday if I can get a free time.

It's Friday at last which i have been waiting since Monday. I was just excited to spend a long weekend again to have a long sleep and do some online postings in myLot as well.
Saturday - I guess I will just be home to spend have of the day just for sleep. I didn't had enough sleep during the previous days when I started posting in myLot last Sunday that I make sure I make a post every night after work. I will also have to do some laundry, help clean the house, then spend the remaining time on myLot.
Sunday - attend mass and attend to the christening of my nephew to stand as his godfather. Maybe, spend the whole day with the family and relatives.
Monday - do some groceries for a week's consumption. Then just spend the day at home for a rest so I will be ok come Tuesday for another week of work.

Hello! For me, i think we will just enjoy the long weekend playing with my niece and nephew. Also, we might visit our aunt who was recovering from a mild stroke. Do some laundry, watch DVD's (pirated ones LOL), and of course, go to church on Sunday.

how i wish i could have that kind of long weekends. am so envious. awww...
during regular weeks i will only get a day off from work, with holidays, i'd still have a day off... aheheheh... since we work for u.s. clients who do not celebrate the same holidays as ours, we have to go to work even on legal holidays including christmas and new years. but if it's holiday in the u.s., my gulay! we still have to go to work. it does not have bearing at all even if we're not doing anything in the office since our clients are on holidays. awww...
BUT, if ever my application for 3-day leave from work will be approved, which will give me a long weekend to spend with i will:
1. clean my room: yes! this should be part of the agenda since my mother always see my room as the dumpsite of the house, although i never failed to meet her expectations upon you know visiting my room, this time, i'll have to disappoint her by TRYING to clean my mess. sorry mom. it can't be helped. you should not always expect to see a dumpsite in my room.
2. read the 4 novels i've borrowed since february, they have legal themes... and i'm into legalities now because i have always been interested how lawyers play games with the laws. i don't want to be a lawyer but i have to learn how they do it. aheheheh...
3. go to a dentist (that is if i won't be able to go this monday)
4. surf the internet and make money online... lots of money than i usually make
5. write and write about anything under the sun
6. i might go shopping for corporate attires too like your girlfriend... i've been working for almost 4 years already but i have very few business attires because i don't like wearing them, that if i could find ways to violate a drez code i would because i always wanted to be comfortable while working
7. this space is left blank for other things that might come to my mind because really now, after all that was stated, i'm never really used to planning ahead.

Hello richiem, im also from the philippines, me and my girlfriend have a the same plan too like yours. She was also hired for her new JOB, so i think on sunday morning were going to Greenhills Shopping Center (more convinient than shoppping malls) and in the afternoon where going to church together, we consider sunday as a family day for us because she have to work from Monday to Saturdays that why we really spent time together during Sundays.

My girlfriend and I always make it a point to see each other during weekends because it is the only time we have for each other. Their house is far from ours so we cannot really see each other every day. And our jobs kept us apart. So we make sure to be together during weekends.
