To all my Lovely Friends
First of all I am sorry I have not been here much but as most of you know I have my Daughter (who is going back today) and my dear Friend Darkwing here
Well Darkwing is returning home tomorrow but she will be coming back to me on the 17th June
I have my Surgery Date I am not as calm now as I was
I received the Date yesterday and it is the 18th June
Well only yesterday Morning we where joking that they can not take me in on my Birthday as it is a Friday and they do not admit unless it is an Emergency so Darkwing in fun said well they will take you in a couple of Days before, yep that is what has happened, also 2 People that I loved very much died on that Date many years ago and I had dreamed a few Weeks back that I would be in Hospital on my Birthday, I am actually hoping that everything goes well and I should be coming out on my Birthday
Darkwing will be staying with Gissi she said that straight away
I am glad that they where both here as I burst into tears when I opened the letter
Yes everything will be sorted and at least that will take the Pain away and then there will not be that much strain on my Lungs any more but it does not take the Fear away
For the Trolls on here
And before any smart Troll decides to make a funny comment, I am scared of the Anaesthetic, due to my Lungs it could do a lot of harm, so please Trolls no smart comments here as I am certainly not going to take it
Back to my Friends
I have the Pre op Check up on Wednesday coming
I will keep you all updated as things go along

Oh utter bullsh*it Gabs…you are now making me nervous as well. I do know you would be in expert hands and good care and you know that too…so don’t remind us and yourself of all the bad things that happened on that day. Whatever happened, happened and the number of bad things supposed to happen are over…so none of it will come to you…I don’t want any such reminders or references anymore…
When do they release you? When will you be strong enough to come online?

OK yes I got a bit carried away Gabs, but you are one of the few faceless friends I truly treasure so I'm worried. Yes, 18th is still 10 days away but while you would be recuperating, can you have someone (Darkwing maybe) keep us posted on your condition?

Hiya gabs, I thought it would come through pretty quickly, the one good thing about the UK is that once you are in the system you are seen as soon as possible.
Fancy your birthday being in June, mine is too next week in fact! I can understand your fears, this time last year I was waiting for my hysterectomy date to come through and I was terrified, oh I know that I did not have the illness of the lungs that you have. But it was a major operation and I was bricking it. But you are going to have lots of support both with you at home, and on here with your friends so that is all good.

I bet you where I would have been to as that is some major Operation
I know mine is only minor but the Anaesthetic is scaring me because of my Lungs if I had to have done what you had done I would be even worse but as I said if I don't wake up I will never know I guess I know this sounds awful but it is the way it is in my mind I can't help it

Your operation might only be minor but the problem with your lungs makes it a little more major as they will have to be keeping an extra special eye on you.
I was the same as you, I just thought that I might not wake up from the anaesthetic. But if I did not I would not know about it so it would not be too bad, not knowing. xx

My dearest Gabs,I have been gone so very much lately and have missed alot that has been going on here with all my friends. I am sure everything will be be okay. I will light a candle everyday in your name, and send special healing energy your way m'dear.I am lighting it in Gissis name as well because what you go through the little guy goes through too. He feels your stress and worry.
Darkwing is a wonderful friend to be there for you and for Gissi.

Oh how terrific that Darkwing can be with Gissi and be there to provide moral and emotional support. You know that we will be praying and thinking good thoughts for you and you will feel so much better to be rid of the pain. I am glad Mel was there, as well. Gabs, absolutely no negative thoughts now, go with good thoughts to give you strength and the power to heal. Do the things that please you the most while you get ready for this surgery. Please be sure.

Yes I am glad to that Darkwing can be with Gissi as he knows her well and he is able to stay in the Flat, I know he will be well looked after

My Dear Gabs!
I shall not forget the date of your surgery as that is the day my son starts his new block of Occupational Therapy!
I am glad that they were there with you when you got the news and that Gissi will be taken care of as well!
You are understandably frightened and I wish I could allay those fears but it is scary....I had surgery once and was frightened but know that my prayers are with you and I will let "Mom" know as well....Her computer might be back in working order by the first of June or shortly after....I know she will contact you as soon is she is back on-line!
I do so hope that you are home for your birthday!!

Heavens is so embarrassed now!
I realize that I was looking at my date book wrong when trying to figure out when "Mom" might get her computer back!!! My son was up before six this morning and so I am very tired today!!!!
Any way to clarify and so that things make sense here....
She may be back on line around the middle of the month...possibly the 16th and if she is I know she will try to contact you! She is also going to her sisters, not this week-end but next so she may message you the week-end before your surgery...I'll be talking to her this morning before I go to work this afternoon!
Also, "Mom's" leg specialist appointment is the day before your surgery June 17th.....Just so you know!

As I said earlier angel I do understand why you are worried and upset but just try to stay positive and think of it as an early birthday present - and what better present than to get rid of the pain that has really blighted you for so long! Won't say more here apart from I am so glad that Darkwing will be looking after Gissi that is one less thing for you to worry about _ unless she gets him drunk! lol xxx

I am glad that you have a date now much earlier than we thought you would have, Gabs. I know it's not easy at all and the fear involved is high but please know that you will be in prayers and thoughts of your friends. I hope everything goes well for you and that you are out of hospital healthy and with a fresh start on your birthday, a new birthday:-)
It's so nice of your friend to come to your support and to offer to take charge of Gissi. It's great that you have had supportive company of your daughter and friend.

My main worry was Gissi but Darkwing loves the little Fellow and he loves and trusts her so I have no worries at all on my little Gissi's part

Given that your friend and Gissi already have relationship of love and trust, I believe Gissi will be fine. Your friend, Darkwing, is a fine and respectable example of a friend. And, thank you for your kind words, you know that you are special to all of your friends too!:-)

I've definitely missed a lot Gabs. I hope your medical situation goes well... I'll have to check previous discussions for that one, and I have a lot to go over in addition to that. I can understand the Anaesthetic situation and thats a preference. Anyone with a problem regarding that needs serious help (as well as everyone ignoring them). The only thing I can say about the pain situation, keep your health up and get the right nutrients. Dr Pro said so.

hon just keep in mind that you are a survivor, you have come through so much in life and you will come through that as well. Gissi and me and junior the cat will just not have it any other way.

Gabs..so sorry that you are in a fret about the surgery but I certainly understand...It is of course worrysome for you..I will add you to my circle of good energy, prayer requests...we can't help but worry when we have these things awaiting us..have you ever tried meditation or prayer meditation? It helps me greatly when I am in a state of anxiety about anything...I should at this age, be mindful of it's great release of tension and worry and use it daily...even if you just find one thing to focus on and stay in a calm and safe spot, focusing on that goodness or entity for a few minutes, letting the worry and stress flow out of your body and allowing the healing and good energy given you by your higher power to fill you with calm, reasurring feelings..This may sound silly to most..but it really works if you give it a serious try...I also do the same thing only pray while I sit and focus on my prayer...same result..goodness to help me through my crisis!

The worse part about surgery is usually always fear, and I'm the worse you've seen so Yes I know where you're at with this. Finally a date and I know you'll be fine but I refuse to say don't worry because to me that simply doesn't talk sense. You'll worry but soon you'll be so happy you did this. You have a lot of people praying for you, so please try to relax that would help I'm sure. Take Care and see you back here soon!
