Practice what they preach, what will you think?
Generally, I will give all my due respect to people who could do what they said or thought.
I just hate to follow instructions from people who don't. Because firstly, I'm not convinced by seeing their actions which speaks louder than words. Secondly, they will never understand since they didn't do it. Third, I already lost my respect for them.=P

I do feel the same as you. I really lost my respect to people who don't practice what they preach. For me they are liars and who would trust such people? A person who does not do what he says for me is something that has lost his character and integrity.

I tend to agree with you. But when I have people telling me "you must do this or that" I usually respond with "oh, because you are so great at _____!" But I usually am very out spoken and don't care what most people think of me.

Lol. Good for you to be so outspoken zephyr. Under normal circumstances or if the person don't go overboard, I could still forget about it after a while. But not if he/she is too insistent, I would just argue back or just leave everything and let them settle by themselves. Most of the time, I'll just gloat about it if they can't do it HAHA!

I'm the same way. Sometimes when someone says that are are sorry for a particular thing. I say. "I'm tired of hearing I'm sorry. This is fine and good of you to say it. I appreciate it but also I need you to show me with your actions not just words".
This particulaly applies to the children and some adults. It's usually said when things are repeated over and again, you know doing something that was wrong or saying something that they will or plan on doing. Especially when they never follow through. I say the about thing or don't tell me how about showing me.
At any rate I know what you mean.

LOL, It's kind of funny. I believe most people do this or at least the ones I've seen scold a child or others do. I have 10 grandchildren. Seven of whom are my daughters children. It's difficult have several at a time doing awkward things. I try to teach as I am doing anything. A leasson learned everyday is a good thing. I feel if I learn something everday then it was a good day.
