Are we living in the times of the feared anti-christ?

You know it's not quite an answer, but do you know that scholars are now saying that "666" was a mistranslation and the number is actually supposed to be "616"? I heard a preacher once who said that Satan does not know when the end times will come (only God knows that) so he has to have someone prepared in each generation, possibly more than one 'someone'. Obviously I do not know if that is true or not...but if you think about many of the evil people who have lived on this earth it sure does make sense.

well i have several theories on this.. i have watched something on where a prophet back in biblical times thinks there were several anti-christs.. nero, hitler etc and that they may never stop having some one viewed as one.. another theory is that everyone in every generation has thought that the world was about to end or some one was the anti christ due to peoples own inturpritations on the bible and the people they viewed as possible threats.. my best friend told me that some religions think that anyone that isnt a christian is that they are the antichrist in a sense.. i think most people need to believe that there is one and that they know or could be surrounding him/her just to make life more interesting.. im not saying that in a way to make people seem silly i just mean that bad things and fear = excitement and if things are all good and happy then it can just be boring.. everyone loves a mystery.. myself i can see a lot of people that could be but im more worried about the asteroids flying around that could hit earth more than a man that could rule the world but i was also raised that the antichrist was every president and debit cards were the sign of the beast so im kind of "over it" with being scared in that area.. i hope i dont sound disrespectful to anyone =(
