I admit, I felt really bad...

Yesterday, I attended a meeting and it lasted for about two hours. In that meeting, we were told what to expect this school year (first semester starts on the 10th of June). We were also given our teaching loads (the subjects we are going to teach) for this semester. I am fine with my schedule as well as the subjects I was given. What made me furious was when I learned that two of my co-teachers were sent on a seminar that I have always wanted to attend. The seminar was on investments. The seminar they attended actually includes a training on investments. It's not the usual training, it was more of the updated one. One that I really wanted to attend! I am the only one who's been teaching Investments for the past few years. They sent two who never taught Investments! I really felt bad. Really bad.
After few minutes of pondering over why I wasn't sent to that seminar, I realized maybe something better is in store for me. I thought about my plans of pursuing further studies abroad (something that my friends here at myLot already knows about). Then I smiled to myself and told myself that maybe I was not really bound to attend this seminar because I will be getting better training and education. Something that I will ultimately change my career path and my life in general!

Hello dolce,
I totally understand what you felt and everyone who will be in our place will be reacting that at first. Imagine sending people on a seminar in it's not their field. Anyhow,I also appreciate your attitude for diverting your feelings and become more optimistic, I know God has a wonderful plan and maybe those teachers are trained ahead in case, you will have your study abroad!

Yes, it could definately be a sign that that's not where you're intended to be at the moment. Or, they could have sent the other two who were inexperienced because they wanted them to gain that knowledge and felt you were already knowledgeable enough in that area. Don't feel too bad! Better things are in store!

May be they thought you were pretty versed in your Investment information and the other teachers needed to learn at least the basics.
There may be a more advanced class in your future. Or, maybe a new positon or given more responsibility.
Good luck.

i understand what you're feeling. but you're right in convincing yourself that something better is in store for you. just continue with your dreams. if you're not given a chance to attend such seminar now, it doesn't mean that you'll never do in the future.
