I learned how to use chopsticks when I was in the Philippines. My friend and I went to this Korean restaurant for dinner. I don't know how to use it but my friend taught me how. At first it was really hard because I grew up using fork and spoon. I was so thankful that my friend was a good teacher and even asked the waitress for extra chopsticks for me to carry home so that I could practice more at home. :) Using chopsticks is a blessing because I marry Chinese and we're using chopsticks all the time! Using chopsticks while eating cake? It's a lot of fun!!! Have a nice day!

Hello!
I can't use shopcticks! It's is too dificult for me.
I know many people who realli likt shopsticks and they even prefer to eat with chopsticks instead of the "regular" cutlery- forks, spoons etc...
Anyway I think I can learn how to eat with xhopsticks if I practice and try it few times. Maybe if I'll go to the east someday I will have to learn how to use this things if I want to eat something.

I do at times, depends on the meal and company I am with. I guess the Chinese older generation would prefer the younger ones to continue this tradition. I find it difficult on the certain local cuisines so I prefer to use my hand ( otherwise fork & spoon )and I could enjoy my food more as it taste better. Plus I could lick my fingers too
Cheers,

I know how to use chopsticks. It's something I use since I was young. However, given a choice, I would still use fork. I use chopsticks for mainly eating noodles in a bowl. Anyway, I think the way I hold chopsticks is wrong but I guess it doesn't really matter. So long I can pick up my food, it's doesn't matter to me.

I must admit that I have never mastered using chopsticks! My daughter uses them very well, but I just never caught on properly! lol I have some very pretty ones, though, and some plain ones, too. The plain ones, I use for stuffing things that I sew! lol
Maybe I'll get out the good ones and let her teach me sometimes.

I practice using the chopstick for two months and now I can use it already without letting the food that i'm picking up fall.

I am a foreigner living and working here in China. It took me months to learn how to use chopsticks. It's cool how these two straight sticks come togetehr to pick up food. Though I already know how, I still prefer to use fork and spoon whenever possible because using chopsticks is tiring. Take care =)

Using chopsticks feels good..lol. Ya it is not that hard to use them. It has a technique, once you understand that it will be very easy to use them. I have chopsticks at home. I use it every time i have noodles at home. I have heard that people even drink soups using chopsticks. Now thats difficult for sure. But there must be a trick that you will need to learn.

I have my own set of chopsticks that I use when eating Asian food. They are not really hard to learn, you just have to stay in practice with them.

I don't know how to use chopsticks but have always wanted to learn. I don't think it would be hard; but I'm so use to using a fork that it might not be so easy.

Using chopsticks is not that easy when you are new to it. But as any other things, you'll get used to it as you learn and practice. Just what I did and I can now use chopsticks very well. It's interesting to use chopsticks especially on your chinese and japanese foods.

Hello,
I think it would be a cool way to eat and it seems to be a much slower way. I couldnt do it and just gave up when a kid . my dad went through a phase when he ate with them, and he was pretty good at it . Maybe sometime down the rd i will give it a try again .
