Well, I should say it was beastly hot, a rain storm is blowing through at the moment making things a bit better. I can't stand it when it's so hot and humid that I sweat just sitting still. Everyone is hot and cranky, no one wants to move muchless do anything productive...why can't it be October already!
So to my fellow Pennsylvanians, how are you holding up in this unusual heat spell?
And to everyone else, what was your weather like today? And what kind of weather do you prefer?

Oh! Believe me can I EVER relate. I live in South Florida and right now our A/C unit is broken!! We have had a few rain storms for the past week but it just makes it worse because the humidity is 100% SERIOUSLY!! You come out of the shower and immediately start sweating again!! I have a pool which is the only comfort I have right now. This weather is very "swampy" I am from New Jersey but I'm not really used to this after all we only have to withstand about 3 months of summer up there versus about 10 months down here. HEY!! But it is beautiful!! Still I miss it because I really like the 4 season and I can't really tell here in Florida there is NO SUCH THING!! :)

as i sit here in my boxers with the fan blowing full force and sweat running down my brow anyway, i must admit that i am one of those people who are always complaining. i crab all winter about the cold and all summer about the heat. my favorite times of year is spring and fall, but lately they've seem to be getting shorter and shorter. i think i'll go jump in the kiddy pool. It was hot and sultry here in FL. With the heat index factored in it was 110 degrees. HOT! humid and sticky. We stayed inside with the ac going after we got back from my daughter's eeg appt this morning. It was already blistering hot at that time in the morning 9:30! we are supposed to get a cool front moving in in the next few days with storms so hopefully that will break the heat.

Here in Ohio it is in the 90s. It is so hot we are sweating bullets. I love summer though and would rather have this than winter but would really it prefer to be in the 70s all year round. We did have a good bit of rain for a while and now a heat wave. We have been constantly sitting in front of the air conditioner just to keep cool but sometimes it is not even enough. :)

hi foxy from Ca its hot and dry and sticky and I am so tired'of being hot. I still have a few shingles spots and sweat
]on them stingslike fire. ouch. Its so dry I am worried
about wildfires for this coming fall. it always happens
when we have a hot dry summer with no rain at all.then
some idiot thinks its fun to watch grass and dry shrubbery
go up in flame.last fallwas the pits in fires in the c anyons and hard to put out. the air for two weeks was unbreathable and
we had to have our airconditioning on in our apartment as we
could not breathe that toxic air full of smoke andashes.

I like spring days when it is a little bit warm but a weak wind is cooling you down... and when you feel that you breat with the real air, so refreshening.
Today was really hot... something like 35 Celsius degrees, this is I think 100 Fahrenheit degrees.

I'm in Toronto, and it's brutally hot here too. It's too hot to be comfortable outside. I can't stand the heat, and don't do well in it. I, like you, can't wait for October.

Yep, you're right, it's STILL beastly hot but, given a choice between this and winter I'll take the heat any time! Please don't wish it to be October already! I haven't even gotten to the pool yet but they just opened Saturday and today was my grandkids' last day of school so I'm headed there tomorrow. Time to get started on my tan and get my water exercise in each day, which is what my doctor ordered.

here in Southern Ca its warm not really hot but
sunny which is unusual for June as usually we
have the June gloom where we do not see the sun
until mid afternoon. but lately the sun is up before
I am. lol.

It gets hot and humid here, too. I live in northwest Florida. Rather than October, I wish it were mid-January. It does not get as cool here as I would like until then. Our winters last about five days, though. Hope the storm is not too bad, but brings some relief to the boiling temperature.

Just last night I was basking in the delightful coolness of the weather which was still only in the 60s here in NYC...today? It shot up to 94 degrees..oh, what fun..NOT and gee it's ONLY June! We have all of June, July, August...and nope I don't do well in the hot weather and am a cool to cold weather person.

This weather has been really hot for this time of the year. We are having August temperatures here is Southern Indiana. This past week has been really bad for thunder storms about 50 miles from here where my brother lives and is currently getting as much of his belongings on top of his roof because the water is about to flood him out. I pray that the people in the area are safe and don't lose too much during this ordeal. I may think I have it bad but always gently reminded that it could be far worse.

Hi Here in the UK SW area yesterday was really hot and sunny in the morning and then a massive thunderstorm with torrential rain which helped clear the air in the afternoon and today it is really hot and sunny again so I will be expecting another storm later. I don't like it too hot myself. Ellie :D
