Unconcious words

Sometimes when I'm studying and writing down notes, I'll get sleepy and drowsy..most of the times, pens are still up and still writing unconciously.
Next thing I know, I'm looking down at my notes with words flying everywhere, sometimes they are some alien words and sometimes the words are exactly what is on my mind. It's hilarious to read what I had written, usually made me wonder how on earth did the words appear there. Had you experienced this before?
PS: a little sidetrack, I came across this article about making use of our unconcious mind while sleeping which is quite interesting www.buzzle.com/editorials/10-24-2005-79724.asp

I have a friend who used to do that a lot in class! I'd never met anyone else though who did that up until now! I guess I've never actually done that myself, but I used to always sit next to one of my friends in class when we were in college together, and she would sometimes fall asleep in class, but she would keep writing notes. They didn't really make sense or anything, but of course I used to joke that I was jealous that she was able to sleep through the class and still manage to take notes on it. That is really interesting though that your words actually make sense sometimes. I will definitely have to check out that article you posted. It sounds really interesting.

LOL! Elisa, rust me, it is terrible! Because consciously I know I can't fall asleep and I have to continue writing, but my eyes and head doesn't seem to be responding to my will.. it is like the "devil and angel" in my head! hahaha! Thanks for sharing, at least I know I'm not the weird one! ;)

I have kind of done this on occasion. It is weird how you can. The mind is always working on what we bring up in discussions or thoughts.
The article is good, and informative. Thank you for the link and your discussion. I also find that while sleeping the best thoughts come to mind. I try to keep a pad and pen next to my bed for just such times. So I can jot down what came to mind in thought or a dream while sleeping.

Hi moondancer! Heh, thanks for being so supportive of my discussions and article! I have to agree that it's SO amazing how our subconscious mind works! I don't think the pad and pen will work for me because I will choose to continue sleeping than to wake up writing and end up having a sleepless night! LOL

I do know what you mean. I use the pad and pen mostly in the morning with what I remember from my thoughts or dreams. If I am awake enough I will jot things down.
