I know this is me whining... But for the life of me I cant get my star back to an 8, it's been a month now. And either I'm not posting good things or someone doesnt like me.... Either way I suppose I'm stuck with this "lot" in life. Did any one find that punny?:sigh: I guess I give up...

Well, lets get you more attention AnimeMom. Also get your friends list in on the act (in my experience it seems they have more sway over the star system at your stage of the game). You've also got less responses so it should be easier to boost your rating (unlike yours truly).
Also...things could be worse.
This is my fourth time trying to go up in star rating. I started out as an 8. The next day I was a 5, and then after that a 4. I then got to 6, 7 and 8, but as soon as I hit 8 I was sent back. I got up to 6 and then got sent back to 4 and 5. Now I'm finally climbing without setback, but its incredibly slow. I couldn't help but notice even with my absence I'm still 67/100 (the same rating...)
The only thing I do that takes my mind off it (ironically) is to just tell people what the star system is and to keep evidence of how faulty it is (my best response total is one item, I've also saved up various responses and discussions I've contributed). Other than that I just participate due to friends on lot.
Don't fret about the pun. I thought it was nice. If you want "dry" you should check out one of my free-for-alls.

Wow... so after a year of minimal attendance I actually gained 3 points? Interesting. Well I won't comment further on that. Back to topic.
Hope the stars, the ratings and some of the flavor of the month cupcakes didn't turn you off from the place animemom. That star could be in the negatives and I wouldn't think any different of you or any of the people I really know here.

Just post more often and be sure they are quality posts. At 255, you might be just not posting often enough to get rated enough to bring your star up much. Also, keep checking your actual number. That could be changing...a 7 star covers a range of numbers. I have had a 10 for about a year straight but I have been anywhere from 95-98/100.
With the number of posts you have it's a lot easier to change your star, it's once you get into the thousands that it gets harder because each rating doesn't have as much weight as the did when you had fewer posts.

Hey Anime!! i feel your pain, note my star, just for the record i plus the heck out of you. i think its kinda crappy that people have nothing better to do than hand out minuses if they don't agree with your opinion. i still think you rock, but i can see how you'd get down about your star. Kinda hit me hard when after one discussion i posted, i went from a ten to a six. And there i sit. Oh well.
Cute pun, BTW. i've missed you...Now that my real life has settled down a bit, i'll be mylotting more.
