Do you notice that on the right side of our discussions title there's the time when we post those discussions? I barely know about this until yesterday. I saw some discussions posted a few months ago even a year! Well, I still respond to those discussions if I may take interest in it.
What about you? Do you tend to respond to old discussions? Please share. Thanks.

Yes, I noticed about this quite a long time ago. For me, I only respond to old discussions whenever I can't find a recent discussion that I feel I can respond well to. To look for old discussions on a topic I'm interested to reply in, I normally use the search engine on mylot (middle top of each mylot page). In addition, I also heard somewhere that using the search engine on mylot will help increase your earnings because you're helping mylot to generate some revenue from searching. Not sure to what extent this is true but it's still useful nonetheless.

Hi I respond to any discussion no matter how old it is. In fact I recently responded to one that was below a new one that I had responded to and it was a year old. I apologised for late response but I had noticed it and felt I wanted to comment. They responded back and I am now friend with the lovely lady that had posted it, so to me it was very worthwhile. I usually tend on general though to respond to more recent ones but if I have been away for a few days will play catch up on any of my friends discussions that I have missed. Well done for you to answer older ones that are of interest too. Keep up the good work. Ellie :D

I usually respond newly started discussions. First of all i checked discussion's staring time. If it is more then one month old then i don't reply it.
Because Mylot deleted older discussions and if you will respond them then you can lose your points.
So always try to respond in new and fresh discussions.
Thanks

What?!? How is that fair of MyLot? I say they should allow you to keep the points since they kept the posts UP!!!
Are you really SURE about this? I respond to old posts all the time, & yet _I_ get paid. Hmmm.
Anyway, so long as another person can see my response, I'll respond to a topic I find interesting, no matter HOW old it is!

I make response to topics that are interesting and I can respond to.
After responded , did I notice that the topic was posted a few months ago, some even a year ago.
That's ok , I think !

Sometimes I'll respond, it depends on the content. If it's something that happened a year ago and it really doesn't mean anything (like a holiday topic) then I'll pass on it. If it's something that still matters today (how do you feel about something) I might respond.

I believe those dates have always been there, jofeli, however, you cannot always take them at face value. That is to say that they are sometimes misleading. I have often responded to a discussion from a profile page that was actually posted many months before.

Yes, if it interests me, I will. It may bring the topic up for discussion again.

Yes I do still respond to old discussions! I respond to them, and then I notice the date on them as being 8 or so months ago. If the discussion is interesting then why not?
I do not think that it matters, if it did then they would not still be circulating. It must be a bit of a shock to the person that sets them though to get a response for them all those months later!

If I have something to say, a little date in the corner isn't gonna stop me! hehe... I don't see why I wouldn't reply - unless the topic itself was 'dated' (i.e. the last presidential election)
So, I'm with you; I'll respond if I have an interest in the subject.

Sometimes I read some discussions responded long before. As referring to whether to respond them, that depends on whether Im interested in those topics, and that's also why I respond.
