How often do you go to the grocery store?

Us, too! We do groceries every other week, and we only buy things we need. With the prices of goods go up by the minute, it's really best that people go through their list first before they buy things impulsively.

I am the same way. I will make a list of what I need and wait until I am about out of everything before going to the grocery store. I usually buy groceries once, maybe twice a month and that's it. I hate shopping and really hate shopping for groceries.

Normally I go every 2 weeks, but now that hubby gets paid weekly I am going every Friday. I am going to sit down and do a menu for the week. We are trying to spend $75 or less per week on food. When I was going every 2 weeks, we pretty much stuck to that so I am thinking by going every week I can go less.

Generally for us, it's every two weeks right around payday. Though if we need something in between, my works takes me right past several grocery stores. With two growing boys, there is very little that is eatable that goes to waste.

We go to the grocery store once a week every Sunday right after attending a mass. It's just right to make a shopping list so you already have in mind all the things that you need to buy and will take you shorter time to buy your groceries. That saves you time and moreover, you will not end up buying the items that you really don't use as well as you don't forget some items which will make you go back to the grocery store again. We do one big order every two weeks on pay day. We will make small trips though , maybe 1-2 times per week to pick up small things .

we are the same as you and it is a rare occassion that we go to the grocery week in between. we usually go to the grocery store about once every two week and if we forgot it or ran out, we do without until next time.

I got to the grocery store whenever I need something. I normally go for something at least once a week, but I do my major shopping at the beginning of the month.

I live out in the country so i go shopping every two weeks if i run out of something and have to go into town for a dr. appointment i will run by the grocery store and pick it up but if not we get it on the next shopping day. With the price of gas the way it is it would be silly to go into town for an item or two!

When I go to the grocery store I do it once a month. I buy more of the items that is used on a regular basis. This is to prevent me from doing unnecessary shopping. So if I brought 10lb rice last month and I notice that it is finish before I make sure to buy and extra 5lb. Going to the grocery too often tends to make your house seems as of it is not on a budget. The necessary things such as salt, oil, seasoning etc, I make sure that is brought in abundance. In time like this one have to budget.

It is a wise idea at this day and age to make a list otherwise you are not just spending more money by shopping here and there but think of ALL THAT GAS being wasted EVERYDAY!!
