Does anyone blog at today.com? They supposedly pay you for your blog posts and extra after you get so many hits. I'm not familiar with it and would like to get more feedback before I decide to give it a go.
So fess up, are you blogging on today.com? Do you like the format? Is it easy to maneuver?

I've already been there and signed up. What I need is feedback from someone that is already doing it.

It was fine when I was there, but when I went back later I saw the same thing.
I think they try to limit how many they can accept at one time, I'm not sure.
A writer's forum that I'm on said they originally said $5.00 per 100 word post, and now they are down to $1.00.
I did get accepted, but I'm still not sure I should spend a lot of time with it.

I have a blog there. Its pretty new... http://sportsrus.today.com..
They do pay per post...$1 until they see fit to bump you up... They only pay for the first 100 word post a day... SO you only get a dollar a day.. But they do let you have two blogs... I wasn't sure if they were going to pay per post but yesterday I saw that they did... It takes about 2 weeks for it to show up in your account... It takes them that long to verify the post.. And you have to have $50 in your account before they send you a check or pay you through paypal..

Thanks for your input here. I'd forgotten all about this and now will look into it again.
Are you making anything at all?

Let's see... I started the blog on September 5 and I've posted 14 blog entry's... Friday the 19th I had 3 of the blog entry's reviewed got was paid for two of them, but the third one was posted on the same day as another one so I didn't get anything for that one... But yeah it's pretty easy.. 100 words for a $1... $2 for 1000 page views... its not to bad...

I joined today. My blog is disabilityrights.today.com and I found the site really easy to maneuver. I don't write code, so I'm glad I don't have to for that site.

Hi, are you still writing there? How's it going? Would you recommend it, and do they pay you?!
I'll check out your blog.

No, I haven't heard of it before. But if you do give it a try, you will have to let us know what you think about it and if it is eay to manuever and if you like the format. I do belong to gather.com where you earn points towards gift certificates. It is a pretty nice format.

This is really odd.
I get around a lot so I don't know why I haven't heard of it before now, and now four responses that know nothing about it either. Hmmm ...
I found it on a site for writers looking for freelance work, and at first glance it does seem that to have to 'apply', and you have to include why you think you should be accepted, which could take up to 30 days.
I was approved within an hour or so, and haven't a clue if that's the norm.

I'm not familiar with that either. I think it sounds like a place to check out. I always do a search and make sure the site is not a ripoff before I join something like that.

It seems reputable and I don't think it's a ripoff, but I'd still like to hear from someone that's blogging there to see if it's worth my time.
I already have blogs on two different sites, but if I can get paid better by moving them to today.com, I will!

I just joined about two weeks ago and have been adding posts to my blog.
What I did find out yesterday is that they don't pay for posts that have affiliate links in them and they don't pay for "self promotion." I was accused of "self promotion" because my post had a link to eHow.
The topic of my blog is onlinewriting http://onlinewritingincome.today.com/ and how freelance writers can earn money from the internet, so of course I have to have links to other sites. I don't get a commission from eHow so I don't quite understand how that's self promotion.
I wasn't paid for another post because I linked to an article I wrote about how freelance writers can get group health insurance. I didn't see a need to re-write the article in the post (after all I only get paid for the first 100 words), so I linked to the article if the reader wanted to get additional information. They called it self promotion and I didn't get paid for the post.
I didn't argue it because its only a dollar a post and I get residual income on each post. Like I said, I just joined so my blog is new. So far I'm only averaging a few cents per day in residual income, but I expect it to grow over time.
Of the 12 posts I've made, 9 have been approved so I've earned $9.43 so far. If you're into blogging, I'd give it a try. Just learn from my experience. The $1 up front isn't much, but the residuals can grow over time so it might be worth it.

Well, I just discovered this site, five months after you did, lol! And I was going to start a discussion about it, but then I found this one. So it looks as if the site is still going, and I came across somebody in another discussion that recommended them. Did you decide to write for them?
I'm also curious about something that you mentioned in one of your replies; whether or not you can transfer existing blogs over. I would guess that you can't, as they're after new content, but it would be good if you could!
I'll try looking into it a bit more before I decide...

I never got very much information about it, so I didn't bother to look further. There are other places that pay you to write, and I've been very lax about doing any writing at all.

Fair enough. I'm being a bit lax about joining, and only thought about it again today as somebody sent me a message trying to recruit me there as their referral.
I'm trying to find out more about it, like whether you can join if you're not in the US and what kind of subjects you can blog on. Another thing I'd really like to check is that they actually pay! So if anyone has any more info about it, I'd be interested to read it.

I wish I had more to add. I did get accepted, but I'm not sure whether to spend time at it until I hear from others that it is worth it.
There are several writers on a forum that I follow that blog there and I'd like to follow suit, but I'm still a tad bit hesitant. I want to move all of my blogs over there, but not sure I can.
