Yes, they are definitely both good forms of exercising. Your welcome again and i am trying to post. I have to work during the day on the weekdays so it is hard. I enjoy reading your comments and suggestions. :-)

hm, interesting dicision here. But, being I hate snow(its cold, yuck), I'll go with mowing the grass. Plus, even if I didn't hate it- the grass you just push a mower (or ride, if you've got that luxury), the snow- you actually have to lift and move. uhhh. no thanks.

I liked your response to the topic. Very cute. :-) Shoveling snow does take energy out of you and is cold and you could slip and fall easily.

I would mow the lawn, first because it's like walking, in a natural erect position, while shoveling the snow requires more effort and makes pressure on the back; then, shoveling the snow is done when it's warm, while mowing the lawn can be deferred to a sunny day with a higher temperature :)

Shoveling snow is a lot more strenous than mowing the lawn and could slip and fall and get hurt or put too much pressure on the heart.

I would rather mow lawn only because I have a riding lawn mower and it means time away from the kids. We mow about 3 acres of our land and it takes some time so it is a good time to relax and ponder life!

Yes, I think having a riding lawn mower makes the lawn more enjoyable. :-) That is a lot of land to mow but the riding mower makes things a bit easier.

OH I so miss snow. Having moved from France when I was 12 to live in Australia, I know there is snow here, but not where I live ... sigh I'd shovel snow anyday!!

It is nice to know that there are some people that love snow. :-) It sure is pretty to look at on the trees and backyard and everything but don't like the shoveling and way people drive in it.

I would rather mow the lawn. I love working outside in the summer. I like gardening and love the smell of fresh cut grass. I find mowing the lawn relaxing , shoveling snow is work.

Yes, shoveling snow is a lot of work, especially the heavy snow. That is nice that you enjoy working outside in the summer.

I like mowing the lawn, so that would be my choice. It doesn't matter to me if I have push mow it or use the rider. I hate to shovel snow it's too hard on my body.

Shoveling snow can be hard on a persons body, depending on how heavy the snow is. Plus it is easy to slip and fall and hurt yourself.

If it was up to me I would rather shovel snow. Especially since in Texas we never have any lol. I can't stand mowing the lawn, I have horrible allergies..especially to grass.. and I hate being outside. lol.

I am sorry to hear about your allergies to grass. Maybe you should move to the northeast. :-) Shoveling snow can be difficult, especially if it is heavy snow and in a large amount. I don't have to worry about my lawn since my neighbor mowed mine and my other neighbors. :-)

I would MUCH rather mow the lawn. I live on over 3 1/2 acres, shoveling snow would be the biggest pain in the butt, specially in my 200 foot hilled, gravel driveway. Id much prefer my riding lawnmower;)

I agree that shoveling snow would be very difficult with that much land. That would be too much for anyone I think. Go riding lawnmower! :-)

Shoveling snow. I live in the desert, and would love the cold snow. I might even just let it lay all around the property.

Snow is very beautiful and sometimes it is easy to shovel and sometimes it can be very heavy to shovel. I love it when it snows a lot so I can have an extra day off from work.

I love mowing the lawn, because we got a riding lawn mower with a cup-holder! That baby can move! It's like my very own go-cart.

Glad to hear that you enjoy using your riding lawn mower. That certainly makes mowing the lawn much easier. :-) My yard is too small for a riding lawnmower.

I choose mowing, as I can do it in nice warm weather.

I would rather mow because it isn't cold. I used to live where it snowed but now I live in a much warmer climate. I like snow but don't like shoveling it.
