So spill the beans what did you do to deserve it. Were you tardy to work? Did you call in sick alot? Or just a general slacker?

Partly yes, because I really wanted to leave that job but I was shy to resign, so I showed bad attitude so they would fire me instead. 2 days later I found a much2x better job. =)

Glad you got a better job. If you are not happy at a job, you should work there. Always stand up for yourself. Good luck!

No I have never been fired from a job, really I've only had 2 jobs, one when I was 16, I left it when I was 17 for a different job and have been there for the last 14 years. Moved around and transferred but still with the same company

But 7 jobs being a student is still not good when they look at your work history.

My first job. I was hired in place of another - whose friend worked there. The friend trumped up some fake charges to get me fired. Her friend was hired the next day. Not all fired events are the worker's fault.

I haven't yet been fired from any position but I have resigned or quit in the past. I always left a particular for a superior opportunity.

I worked at place for 2 yrs and everything was fine until my daughter started to get sick. I was one week from FMLA and my daughter was only 1 yr old and in the PICU on a ventolator. They told me that I had to come into work. I told them that my child may not make it and that I was not coming in. they told me " Ok, your fired" My daughter made it through and was taken off the venolator a week later. I filed for unemployment and they wanted to deny me, they told the unemployment board that I willfully was disobedant. (like I was a freaking dog) I fought it and won, they had to pay me unemployment.

Yes I was. God knows I did not deserve it. I got a far better job which made my life in only the next 1 yr. They did regret firing me in the first place.

I'm proud to say I've never been fired from a job! I've always worked my hardest and done everything I was told to do, i've found that working is much easier that way.

Yep, got fired from Tim Hortons (coffee). I was supervisor and I had just started, I was trained in the kitchen , picked it up in a few days. Did the shift changes, did everything was doing really well but some of the girls who had been there for 10 or more years didn't appreciate being supervised by a newbie. they fired me after only 3 months of being there, that way they didn't have to start paying benefits. It came as a complete surprise, no warning or nothing. I walked in for my shift, they called me into the office and said they were letting me go. They actually walked me out the back door, Hee Hee what a joke that was.
