My hubby played a demo for it and said it was ok. It looks a lot like Halo to me and he said it is kind of similar.

I have both and it all depends. The PS3 SHOULD be better, but due to lack of games has not been. However, I do use it to watch a lot of movies/ blu-ray. In the end I do tend to play my PS3 more (currently on Quake Wars)and the end of 2008 into earlier 2009 is supposed to be great for PS3 owners. I've never had any problems with my PS3 breaking down, but the X box 360 seems to break every other day.

There have been various reports of the Xbox 360 overheating. The Xbox 360 does seem to have a more polished online gaming setup. Then again users must pay for subscriptions to take part in the Xbox 360's online gaming.
The PS3 has a built in Blu ray player, and Blu ray seems to have won in the blu ray vs hd dvd battle.
I suggest the game titles of both systems be reviewed. Figure out what game titles you like, and which are being offered on what systems.

This is a really good discussion because video games are really important in peoples lives, because they are an excellent source of entertainment especially if you are bored,or if you have nothing to do,and if it is a cold day,or if it is snowing outside or if it is a rainy day,or if it a wet day because it was recently raining or if it just one of those days you do not want to leave the house then video games are a perfect thing to help you pass the time, and video games are also a good way to relieve stress and I think there is nothing better to help get out frustration then slaughtering aliens that are trying to take over the Earth like in the games Halo and Halo 3 at least that is my opinion lol,and I am sure there are a lot of people out there who like video games and they have one console gaming system or maybe a couple of console gaming systems that they prefer to play games on,,and there are probably people out there who either do not have a favorite console gaming system because they do not like spending much time playing video games,or they are usually very busy and do not have time to play video games,or because they have things they prefer to do in their spare time other than playing video games, and then I am sure there are people who hate video games and think that they are nothing but trouble, and all they do is cause kids to be violent and hateful to others which I think is a load of crap, especially those type of people have probably never played a video game in their life, and it is not right to judge something without actually trying it,and I agree that some games are not that good, but they are usually rated M for mature so you have to be like eighteen I think to buy them, and I have always been a big gamer and a big fan of video games and I always will be,and video games have always been one of my favorite pastimes and when I was a kid whenever I was not sleeping, watching television,or on the computer I was playing a video game and I would sometimes and sit for hours at a time playing one specific video game until I had beaten it,and even now that I am with my fiance I still love video games and my fiance likes video games as well, and right now we have a Nintendo 64, a Nintendo Game Cube,a X-box,and a Halo 3 Edition X-box 360 which is my favorite because it is something I always wanted,I like the X-box 360 because it has good graphics and it has the ability to turn the system on or off with the controller and it has a good game selection like the game Halo 3 which is only on the X-box 360 and that is part of the reason I wanted it,and the other reason is because I love the Splinter Cell series and Splinter Cell Conviction is coming out only on the X-box 360,PC,and DS I think and I want to get it to finish my collection of Splinter Cell games, another thing I like is that if you get a hard drive you can play X-box games on X-box 360 which is really awesome so you can buy X-box games and save a little money instead of having to buy 360 games which are sometimes expensive, and then my brother has a PlayStation 3 which he likes a lot and he wanted it because of Metal Gear Solid 4 because he loves the Metal Gear Solid series, and he likes the graphics and he also has the ability to turn it on or off with the controller, and he also has blue ray which is pretty neat, and it has a pretty good selection of games as well, and the thing he does not like is that he can not play PlayStation 2 games on it but he can play PlayStation 1 games on it,and they have Final Fantasy 13 coming out for the PlayStation 3 and the X-box 360,and then my fiance wants a Nintendo Wii my cousin has a Nintendo Wii and she likes it because it allows you to get more involved in the games and it allows you to get exercise at the same time which is awesome, and when me and my fiance visited my cousin we got to play it and it was a lot of fun and it has a good selection of games and I hear you can play Game Cube games on the Wii which is neat, and Nintendo has some pretty cool sort of role playing games called the Legend of Zelda series, and I think the system that someone should get should depend on the type of games one enjoys.

360 has a better selection of games, also considering that many of the big hits on ps3 are also on 360, as well as really good games only avalible on 360 like Gears of War, Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden II, etc. The only deptartment that ps3 probably excells in compared to the 360 is their stability as a system, I had to send in my 360 twice becasue of internal failure.

This is true. The PS3 was mainly designed for family entertainment with its media shizz on it but the 360 was designed mainly for online gaming. If your looking for something for music, films and all that kind of entertainment then the PS3 is recommended but if your into online gaming then the 360 is what your looking for.

I agree that 360 has way more games (better selection) and I love the whole setup for achievement points. If theres a game that is available for both, we'll buy it for 360 because of the achievement possibilities. :)

My husband and I own both consoles and we get a lot more use out of our Xbox 360. The main reason we have the PS3 is because it $100 off when we bought our HD television and it's the best blu-ray player you can get for that price! All other blu-ray players are harder to update and way more expensive. The PS3 has automatic updates and is multifunctional. The 360 is way better for gaming and online multiplayer games. Plus it has a better interface and is more user friendly with a better online game store :)

I haven't owned either console personally, but I hang out with a LOT of nerds. I haven't heard many big complaints about the 360, but I've heard ENDLESS complaints about the PS3. My oldest brother gets murderous just thinking about the money he spent on his.
